What Category Of Steemian Do You Belong To? 🤷

I believe we are all doing well and fine, and we are all actively engaging in one another's post.

With joy of heart, I happily come before this great community to drop another interesting post.

Through my research on steemit, going through individuals post and also the WhatsApp group of some community.
I couldn't help but keep on laughing, do you know why?

I came across different kinds of steemain 😂, I came across those that are here only for money, I came across those that doesn't want to follow rules but wants votes, I came across those that were once active but not anymore and I came across the loyal and obedient ones- these ones ready to comply with whatever rules they are given.

Imagine meeting these categories of steemians in one group, when one is complaining, the other is opposing.
Then I sat and looked at this steemians and categorize them into 5 different categories, of which we will examine shortly.

THE COMPLAINING STEEMIAN

I don't have to lay much emphasis on this category of steemian because we see them all the time.

This category of steemian are individuals that don't understand what a decentralized platform is meant to be.
They are the type of steemian that expect guaranteed votes despite knowing that votes aren't guaranteed.

This are the kind of steemian that looks at the huge votes given to some for their hardwork and when not extended to them, they begin complaining.

They complain so bitterly that they go to the extent of tagging SC01, they are the types that lack consistency.

As a steemian on steemit platform, we should desist from becoming the complaining type as it will number our days on steemit.

We shouldn't always expect votes on every article we publish and we should remember that for steemit to run as a decentralized platform that it truly is, votes aren't meant to be guaranteed.

THE SURFACE STEEMIANS

As the name implies, these are category of steemian that are not in for the benefit of steemit.
They are not devoted to steemit, they are just here for the sake of making money and as such they seldomly make post.

These individuals makes post once or twice a week and they don't bother interacting to their fellow steemian, they don't care about the well being of their fellow steemians.

Yes, they might obey instructions such as the #club initiative project but the lack of interaction on steemit is against the purpose of steemit.

Remember, steemit is a social media platform and on social media, we relate with one another, then what is stopping us from relating with one another.

Please let's try not to be a surface steemian, let's always reply to the comments of fellow steemian on our post.
"Thanks for stopping by" will go a long way than just ignoring the comment.

We can also proceed higher by engaging in the engagement challenge initiated by the steemit team.
All of this is for the benefit of ourselves and steem economy.

THE SPECULATIVE STEEMIAN

I will call this individuals the business-minded steemians, these are individuals that have no interest for the growth of steemit, they are steemians that join steemit with the sole aim of making money.

This category of steemian don't care if their activities are bringing lots of harm to steemit, all they care about is their immediate selfish gain.

Many of these individuals started well by obeying the rules of the steemit team but after acquiring some steempower, they delegate it to bid-bot.

Irrespective of the amount of steem power we have accumulated, I plead with all steemian reading this post, let us desist from getting involved with votes buying, it is against the ethics of steemit platform.

When we have enough steem power and are busy with something else, we can simply delegate it to an active and growing community and as such we can receive weekly delegation rewards, but please let us desist from vote buying.

THE WANDERING STEEMIAN

These category of steemian are steemians that are working hard but not smart.
This are steemians that have wandered almost the whole communities on steemit, making quality post but due to some reasons, they don't get supported.

Imagine going to an inactive community to post a very quality post, where do you expect the support to come from?
Sadly though, some steemians fall into this category and because of the lack of support, they end up giving up.

We can also imagine a steemian making post in a community where he is not a verified member, of course he will not be recognized and neither will support come.

Like I earlier said, he is working hard but not smart.

We should endeavor to learn about communities before making post in them.
There are some communities that requires that we become a verified member before we receive support, then let's become a verified member.

There are other communities that require that you join their curation trail before you qualify to receive support, then let's proceed to join their curation trail.

Before making post in any community, a steemian need to read about that community and the kind of post they accept, Inorder to have a higher chance of being supported.

THE OBEDIENT/CONSISTENT STEEMIAN

When asked, everyone will want to be this kind of steemian because this is the kind of steemian that is very persistent, continously making quality post in growing communities.

These are steemians that ensure that they upload a plagiarism free content, they're steemians that are loyal to steemit and humbly obey the instructions of the steemit team.

These are steemians that are sticking to steemit and ready to remain with steemit despite the rough times.

This steemians ensure to make research and explore the steemit platform to the full, they know active communities and the inactive ones.

They also know communities that are involved in votes buying and they avoid such communities.

And when we look thoroughly, this are steemians that are being appointed as country reps, moderators, admins etc.
They are scarce but very easy to locate.

Now comes the big question, what category of a steemian do you belong to? Are you ready to make the necessary adjustments to progress as a steemian.

It is never too late to amend our way and become an hardworking steemian, we can immediately stop vote buying, we can increase our recognition by becoming consistent and trust me, we will by no means ever fail.
