Promoting the Steem blockchain has become one of our little team's objectives. In fact, we now have plans on how and when are we gonna proceed with our promotional activities. For now, we are still on the preparation stage, like getting ready with the things that are needed for our to-administer virtual meet-ups. Yes, we have planned to have it via Google meet or Zoom and in person as well, if chances allow.

In line with the team's goal, I will be sharing with you today my very first promotional activity at school with my Cookery students who are in the 12th grade of the Senior High School.

The students are reporting to school for their work immersion for 2 weeks to complete the 80 hours required of them. As their immersion teacher, I am glad to be able to have grabbed this opportunity of sharing with them what is Steemit along with my journey in this blogging platform.

Observably, our young generation today is really into social media life, like they could spend almost all of their hours into scrolling, engaging and the like, leaving the important and healthier to-do's behind.

Now, with my experience in the Steemit community, I have found it very healthy to drive them into the platform and allow them to experience the good things that Steemit offers. With such, there will rise another avenue for them where they could share some from them through writing in the form of blogs, and get rewarded along.

The sharing started with the brief discussion of what is Steemit and the basics of it, like the communities where one can engage into, the different parts or tabs which could direct one into, and more importantly, the characters that one should be knowledgeable of, like Steem power, reputation, rank and others.

Only the basics were touched in the discussion so as not to get them be overloaded with information since they are not yet into the platform and will just be starting.

After the discussion, an open forum was done to give them time to raise questions. Expectedly, the very first questions that were asked were on how to signup and that, if there's a registration fee. Of course, the questions were honestly answered, leaving them satisfied.

The session had come out successful, making them want to register and join me and everyone else in the platform which I'm very much happy about. Aside from they could share positive contents and earn, their writing and communication skills would be greatly enhanced along, which excites me.

I believe this is just the beginning of their walks in the community, which also suggests of my start in them since they will still need the guidance along the way.
