Summary of the Campus Steem Promo at KNUST.

INTRODUCTION

This day has brought us wonderful memories even as the promoters here in Ghana meet together to handle a few discussions of the progress of steem promo activities here in Ghana. However, the meeting included the promotion of steem at one of the various halls of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Everything today was so much fun and very educative.

The meeting featured local steem promoters like @mcsamm @collinz @nattybongo and @magcarnie. The presence of these vibrant steemians made the sharing of the printed steem flyers very much easy and successful. The meeting started at 2:30 pm here at the KNUST with three steemians after which the inclusion of @collinz gave the day a blast. It felt much more than good to discuss few issues that need the attention of all.

Thanks to all the promoters who made themselves available for today's discussions. Among the few issues that were discussed comprise;

• Launching of steem tech club.
• Effective promotion of steem at universities.
• Encouraging community members on their steem promotion.
• Production of promo steem and steemghana shirts for community members.
• Sustainability of the steem tech club and carrier opportunities for students.
• Upcoming Donation and printing of steem exercise books for students.

These and many others were shared today at the promoter's meetup here at the KNUST. With time, we are hoping to organize a mega promo steem meetup in the entire nation to bring on board all members of our community who have plans of helping to build a better community here in ghana.

DISTRIBUTION OF FLYERS

Subsequently, flyers were shared after the meeting ended in about 40 minutes. Members helped so well in the distribution of flyers to students on campus. It was planned to host the promo at unity hall but some circumstances compelled us to have it done at Queen Elizabeth Hall inside KNUST.

The distribution of flyers started on the streets around the hall where members interacted with students walking around this very hall. Sharing steemit with students was a marvelous feeling. It was a bit challenging in the beginning when some students thought it is some sort of a scam thing that we are bringing to their doorstep. But a careful and deeper explanation and search helped them to understand the steem blockchain better.

CLOSURE

The entire activity was agreed to come to a close after we have exhausted all the 50 flyers that were printed for distribution today. Few contacts were taken from members who expressed much interest in getting their accounts established on steemit soon. We are fully convinced of their preparedness to join us for a better future. We however gave our details to others who wanted to call us later for some follow-up questions.

In all, it really was a great day to share with students at the KNUST. I will be happy to see this becoming a weekly activity that will be achieved to reach all students with steem at the various universities here in Ghana and beyond. Thanks to everyone for helping to make the steem campus promotions a better and bigger project to reach students with steem.
