Steem visited school children at St Peters Hospital with steem branded books, food, drinks and other writing materials.

Introduction.

We are always excited to belong to a community that cares about humans. The needs of the environment are certainly the need of steemit. There's no other social platform that can transform the lives that steemit has made. Especially here in Ghana and many parts of Africa. It continues to exhibit a character of love and strong unity for others. Not only is steem and steemit giving hope to the hopeless, but it has also created many opportunities for others to enjoy.

Today brings us an update of a charity event that happened over the just-ended weekend. It was simply about a visit that was made to the pediatric ward of St Peters Hospital, Jacobu ghana. May thanks to all and sundry who supported us in doing this together with school children and their parents. It was an overwhelming moment that words aren't enough to describe the moment that steem spent with the hospital.

Preparation.

The steem local promoters in Ghana, @mcsamm @natybongo and @collinz joined hands together to share a day with school children who have been admitted due to some ailments. Adequate preparation was made prior to the visit to the name hospital for such an activity.

Among the items that we prepared for the visit were clothes, biscuits, toffees, writing and drawing books, food, and steem branded exercise books for their use. Each and every child at the ward was a privilege to have a package that was designed for them consisting of all the names items t be given to them.

Promoters made an early journey after knowing the hospital is located in a town called Jacobu in the Ashanti region of Ghana. We arrived in the late morning around 11 am to ensure all were set for us to begin the purpose for which the visit was made. Thanks also to the staff of the hospital for the kind gesture they showed us.

The good time.

After an introduction session was made to get us used to the staff of the hospital, we got introduced and then announced the mission of our visit. The team was fortunate to have two other wonderful ladies with us who have been spoken to about steemit. It is the beauty of what steemit does for a society that got them attracted to join hands with us in doing this.

They were in the person of Miss Jemima(University lecturer), and Miss Priscilla (Fidelity Bank). This was the part of the entire day spend where the children on their sickbed and their respective parents truly felt the impact of steem. Our day was scheduled to handle a session of prayers with the children and their parents. It was a moment that we wish we could do more and more again. Many thanks to you @collinz for the powerful prayer session you presented us all.

However, each child was given a package that has been prepared for one of which they found drinks and food. Clothes and steemit branded books given in addition.
At this moment, the children were all engaged in a reading exercise to bring their minds back to the classroom after staying away for a while. Most of them truly demonstrated how they have missed going back to school.

We equally felt excited to see the parents excited about the gesture which was showed to them yesterday. It really was a moment that l wish could be done most times. The smile and support that parents gave us in addition to that of the staff of the hospital gave us great joy. Conclusion and departure

This charity event was made in a different style even as steemit visited the school children at a hospital to share some reading time and offer them things to make them feel loved. It was such a successful one and taking leave of them was worrying. This resulted in some of the children wanting to see us spend the whole day with them, hence crying.

This means that we certainly have to be engaging in such a humanitarians exercise to help many people who need our love and support. I feel so proud to see an attempt to help the less privileged in our society through some of these activities. And so that was just about it. The day ended with much thanksgiving to the nurses and other staff members of the hospital after which we agreed to set off for our journey home.
