Introduction

I must say that the title of this contest came at the right time. It is very interesting and captivating. Having been on the steemit platform for more than a year, there are so many experiences to share with this wonderful audience.

Promotional Activities before the clubs.

Well my journey in Steemit began in September 2020. I was very reluctant at first when my wife @ngoenyi introduced me to it. Having lost one of the sources of my family income, I was so discouraged. However, after seeing how my wife was assisting the house, I decided to give it a try.

Before the advent of the clubs, promotion have been a normal thing.

We were able to engage in our promotional activities with promotional materials much available and within reach.

We would easily print and make available the following promotional materials

° T-shirts

° Face-caps

° Hand flyers

° Posters

° Promotional Stands.

These were easily printed because there was no check on the percentage of withdrawal we could do on our steemit earnings. With that freedom too, we could travel long distances to meet prospects and investors easily due to availability of transport fares.

There were so many things we could do since the funds were readily available and votes were coming to support us.

However, much attention was not given to powering up. Well If you check my record, it has been a culture to save by powering. I have been doing that but at my own discretion. Thus I would say that considering now and then, I was not doing much in powering up, since I also have to take care of the family too.

Effect of introduction of the clubs on promotion.

With the introduction of the clubs came new regime in steemit. At first, I looked at it as something one can easily deal with, but when the subject was explained very well, I now knew it is not going to be business as usual.

The introduction of the clubs led to eliminating unnecessary expenditures for promotional activities and I would say is a positive one.

For example, of before we print so many flyer and other promotional items and distribute to any person we meet, presently, you only give someone such promotional items when interest have be shown by the prospect. This have also led to better management of this Promotional items making each one count.

Since the promoter knows he can not withdraw at his whims again without balancing up the savings, he makes reasonable use of the one available.

Additionally, another positive aspect to the club introduction is that it has helped me to Power-Up at least half of whatever I earn. It is now done consciously without prodding from anyone for me to save. Infact, this have also led me to diversify and look out for other things to earn from as not to be entirely reliant on the steemit platform.

Presently, I have achieved the dolphin status as at early December 2021, which was well above the target I set for myself this year which is 4000SP.

I am still looking forward to achieving a double dolphin if possible by next year, if I get the needed support required.

The club usage have also led many to have curation powers. Making many users vote with some reasonable steem power. This is my experience too. Because of the SP I have built due to club5050, I now receive extra income via delegation to several communities. This is indeed amazing.

Conclusions

In conclusion, I must say that introducing the clubs have brought so many positive results to me.

• It has made me to avoid wasteful spending.

• I effectively and efficiently make use of my promotional materials.

• It has instilled more in me the culture of savings.

• I still earn more from the power ups I have done through delegations.

• I can now support newbies with the voting power I now have.
