Promoting steem on campus and giving out steem t-shirts. Showing love in my course of promoting steemit on campus from hostel to hostel. Visiting Newbies to check on their progress on steemit platform.

Hello fellow promoters,

In my last promo post in this community i talked about showing love to people we promote steemit to is a very good and effective way to bring people on board and also put smiles on the faces of people we meet. Also, people will propagate the steem message by simply reping a steem brand. In effect, we are turning people we share the steem message with into steem messengers and promoters.

This time round, I decided to visit some friends in their hostels to share the steem message to them, it is always a sense of duty to make sure steem goes to every place and shared every where.

I distributed some steem t -shirts to some the people I promoted steem to, they were very happy for the gesture, I took that opportunity to tell more about steem, they promise to sign up soon.

I was able to passed by the hostels of some newbies I helped sign up unto the platform to check on how they were doing and also their progress on the platform. Some of them have been inactive for a while and these were the reasons they gave me for their inactiveness.

Lack of motivation to post due to not getting upvotes on their posts on the platform were some reasons given for their inactiveness.

finding difficulty in navigating through the platform and engaging with users.

I took time to address the challenges within my power, especially with the difficulty in using the platform and engaging with members. To effectively engage users, you have to always give good content, upvote and comment on peoples post, replying to people comments. We can also increase our influence on the platform by increasing our steem power (SP). It was a great time meeting them and discussing with them.

It is very important to make sure people coming on board are very active and contributing to growth of the block chain but not a bunch of inactive members who only increase the numbers but not the value. Following up should be added in our promotional activities especially those who come on board via us, this will increase the activeness and engagement of everyone on the platform.
