I will honestly say no. Women don't need expensive gifts at all, and if they think they do, it is due to a false necessity that our society has created by means of the different social medie through the years, and not because of a real necessity that they have in their lives, because true happiness doesn't come from the ephemeral feeling that material stuff give them, but from those things that come from the heart, or those things that create the best moments in life.
Expensive gifts makes us feel good for a moment or two, but what about attention? Love, real love? the feeling that comes from someone who remembers a special date, the feeling from an honest hug, moments of laughter... Those are special things we NEED in life, and they are all free.
I agree with you dear friend. There is more to life than expensive gift. It's the intention and thoughtfulness.
