Greetings from my family

This is my first post on steemfamily and also my first contest and i am super thrilled to be joining a community such as this, family means everything to me and i for one was brought up in a large family and i love every bit of it!

INTRODUCTION

Family as we were taught in primary/secondary school consists of Father, Mother and their children.

Caring for and nuturing the children is a joint responsibility of both the father and the children and this care and love are expressed in a variety of ways which may differ from the father to the mother .

Should women alone take care of the children?

My Answer to this is No!
Women shouldn't be left alone to take sole responsibility of the children.

Reasons for above answer:- I will base my answers on two perspective which i will begin with the scriptural book[Bible]

God ordained both parent:-
The Book of Genesis 2 verses 24 says:- Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. From this verse we will understand that even God ordained and commanded joint parenting [a man and a woman shall be one]. God expect both parent to come as one and be good examples for the children and this position we must treat with reverence it is due, God has high standards which he will not compromise but will hold you accountable for any defect.

Division of Labour:- Two good head they say is better than one! And when 4 good eyes will see clearer than two. This is just to say that when both parent jointly carry out the duty of parenting, the process becomes less difficult, less stressful, and more interesting. We are our own strength, when the mother is down due to illness or diseases the father can easily help out with the children and vice versa. If Daddy will be late at work and wont be able to pick the children ip from school the mother can, it makes parenting less demanding and more fun if both/all hands are on deck. This is how better parenting should be done.

Should the practice still continue?

Answer:- No

This practice should be totally abolished and forgotten in this Age and time, things have revolved and fathers have should also learn to do better at taking care of the family for the sake of the children they must be willing to avail themselves to learn this practices and make it part and parcel of them in bring up this little one. Mothers also should not relent in this duty even as the father stand in gap for them from time to time Because together we are stronger and we can achieve more.

Is there advantage when the male gender take care of the children also?

Answer:-Yes, there are many advantages when the father take care of the children and i will briefly highlight some of the advantages below just to mention a few.

-> Father build confidence in children:- as we know men are stronger than women and mostly less scared of things as women do. Having a father take care of the children helps to build the children confidence more.

-> Fathers discipline the children differently:- as mothers we may become too attached and feel sympathy for the children when they do wrong things but fathers are able to go above that to inculcate some discipline into the children .

-> Fathers prepare the children for the reality in the world:- while a mother might mice her words and choose to sugarcoat some truth a fathet will be bold enough to say it just as it is for instances, a mom might just say to a child:- you need to do well in class, but a father will simply say to be Relevant in life you must go to school , get good grades to secure a desirable job.

What's your take about this contest topic

Answer:- This topic is an important topic that cannot be overemphasized. Father's are more career oriented and tend to neglect or overlook the their role in helping to take care of the children, but with topics like this we can help remind them and make them understand the importance of teamwork in caring for this young ones. Beautiful topic and very educative i must say.

Conclusion Taking care of the children is not the sole responsibility of a woman, but of the man and the woman. Men should learn to be more intentional about doing their quota to this role for better upbringing of this children.
