Impressed to see a contest, that could in some way impact the kids too. I was tagged by @huzaifanaveed1 and here is my story for the contest organized by @greatketty.
My niece and I
This is a story of two friends, Ahmed and Ali, who have been together for 9 years. They worked together in a small firm. Ahmed and Ali always talked about what changes they will bring when they are promoted to a higher rank.
While Ahmed had it in him to do something for the world, Ali had just one goal, to leave everyone behind and reach to the top. Ahmed always tried to change Ali's perspective but Ali had his eyes shut to everything but reaching the top.
Finally, the day came when Ali and Ahmed got promoted to their desired ranks. First time in 9 years, Ahmed and Ali had to live apart for their jobs. Ahmed got posted in a nearby rural city whereas Ali was sent abroad for job purpose. Ali thought he is already ahead of Ahmed because of being in a foreign country.
In the next 2 years, they got so busy with their work that they hardly had any time to meet each other.
Ahmed was doing great, the passion in him to help other people not only helped other people to learn and grow but Ahmed noticed the peace and happiness he got by helping people. He wanted to change the world for better and this job gave him the power to do so.
Ali on the other hand, got very proud. Thinking he is the best at everything, he undermined the people around him. Being the boss, no one had the guts to tell him to his face how much everyone hated him.
Just when Ali thought he had reached the top, another person was appointed above him and Ali got fired because of his attitude.
It was only after he was fired he realized how right Ahmed was. And you don't need to put others down to be a successful person. He moved back to his city where he found out how well Ahmed was doing. He went to Ahmed and cried and apologized about his behavior with everyone. Ahmed just smiled and said something that Ali could never forget,
You can never be successful by stepping on other people's boundaries and defrauding them. When you get the authority and power, use it to change the world for better instead of undermining people. The peace of mind lies in the happiness of other people and if more people would know this, world would be a better place already.
Being an aunt to adorable little baby, I hope I can make a difference and impact in at least a single kids life and make this world a better place.
