I hope you are all well. First of all I want to thank @humaidi for preparing such a valuable contest:

Talking of an unforgettable day, many days come to mind but the fun day I will never forget is 2019.01.01.

That day was a ceremony for the beginning of the year at the company I work for. It was organized by all the technical staff under the leadership of our Manager. The day before, we designed the wall of the venue with a little art. I got help from my friends who worked with me for that. We all willingly shared the work.

The ceremony began with the lighting of a coconut oil lamp, the pouring of milk, and the chanting of Piriths by the monks. We were able to see and enjoy the various activities organized there. There was also an evaluation of the employees who worked during the past year. They were rewarded for their talents and dedication. It is a factor that motivates them and increases their willingness to work.

Everyone's faces were full of smiles. When everyone's smile is happy, it brings another person's smile unknowingly. Then everyone happily ate the specially prepared food together.

The next step was for the heads of the institutions to give money to the minor employees. We call it the ritual of "අත අලේ කිරීම". It is a Sinhala custom. The workers all attended the event with smiles on their faces.

Meanwhile, our manager had prepared a commemorative gift for the technical staff. It was a joy as well as a surprise for me and my co-workers. That day was a wonderful day indeed.

To our surprise, our manager had prepared a fun evening with a dinner out for the technical staff. We went to the beach around 2 pm after finishing work at the office ceremony. Everyone swam in the sea. They were amazingly fun. Had fun with sea animals with sea sand

We had fun until the evening and got ready to go out to dinner around 5pm. A beautiful hotel was prepared for it. We had a lot of fun there. Special meals were prepared for dinner. They were so delicious.

In fact, the day turned out to be a lot of fun. Even though we came to work every morning and evening, it was then that I realized how valuable unity is. I felt that the joy of being together with our brothers and sisters was far more valuable than the joy of being alone. I realized that work is not a place where we have to be confined to a frame and that it's worth laughing with everyone and doing everything happily. I think the first day of the year should be a great strength and courage to pay happily every day to pay that way. So how can such a day be forgotten. That experience and those moments will always remain in my heart.

For me and all my friends, these beautiful days in life are unforgettable and there are plenty of days when life is a new experience. So I warmly invite my friends @sindi16, @eramadu, @rishka-amanda to participate in this competition. Comment on your ideas.
