Hi lovely people,

This entry is not just a story but something we can all learn a lot of lessons from.

Childhood has always been fantastic in my community with storytelling; in fact, storytelling has been the primary part of every child. I am honoured to participate in this contest to share one of my most loved childhood stories with this family.

Many thanks go to @greatketty for making this possible to share my creativity in a form of a fictional story.
In my community, stories are usually told in the night after every child is done with the day's work. Stories are told by the elderly in society. These stories range from the stories of animals, humans, and other things.
We usually sit around bonfires with the elderly sitting at one end of the bonfire; we typically roast yam pieces to be eating while enjoying these stories. We were also given chance to create our own stories.

Below is the entry of my creativity

Mr. June and his wife

One day, Mr June went to God to complain that his wife overeats and has an extra mouth. He also told God his wife typically eats all the food leaving him starving.

God asked, 'why have you come here, Mr June.'

Mr June replied, please give me a woman with no mouth on her face.
God looked at Mr June since Anansi is always known to have awkward reasoning and intelligent plans.

God then told him to come in the morning for his new wife.

Mr June was so happy that he went straight to the market to buy foodstuff for the household.

'He said to himself,' 'all of this food that I am buying will be for me alone.

He woke up early in the morning and went to God for his new wife as promised.

He brought his new wife to the house very happy.
The next day, the wife went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast; Ananse came in and greeted her. The wife acknowledged him with a silent nod; she then continued preparing her breakfast.

Mr June could not believe that he was lucky enough to have a new wife who would only cook for him with no mouth to eat some of the food.

As days passed and everything was going on very well ... until Mr June decided to check on the foodstuffs in the kitchen. He was very shocked to find out that most of his food had disappeared. He knew that he could eat most of the food, but had he really eaten three bags of rice ten yams, and six plantains in such a short time?

He was very uneasy because he was supposed to be the only person eating the food since his new wife has no mouth on her face to eat some food.

Mr June decided to find out who is eating his food. For a few weeks, he constantly monitors the kitchen. But no matter how keenly he looked, he could not find anything unusual. His wife cooked every kind of meal only for him. He could not still believe why he still has to buy a lot of food every week. Where is it all going? He asked himself.

One day, Mr June woke up at midnight to drink water as he was very thirsty. He heard some noise in the kitchen; he quickly went to check what was making that noise. He looks closely through the door and saw someone eating in the kitchen.

He looks keenly and found his wife eating. He could not believe what he has seen as he stood in the kitchen doorway watching his new wife eating a massive bowl of food! He looked surprised as she picked the boiled rice and yams, lifted up her right arm, and put the food into her mouth that was hidden in her armpit!

Mr Junei was very amazed to see such a thing. He said to himself, 'So this is where all my food has been going. My wife has a secret mouth in her armpit, and she has been eating my food at night.

The following day, He sent his wife back to God and requested to know why his wife had a hidden mouth in her armpit.

God replied, 'You asked for a wife with no mouth on her face." And so I gave you a wife with a mouth in the armpit. You did not ask for a wife who has no mouth at all.

Mr June felt embarrassed and deceived, but God had no compassion for the selfish man. God said to him, 'You had a faithful, loving, devoted wife, and because of your selfishness and greed, you have lost her.
You thought you were clever to have your way. But I have shown you that I am much wiser than you.

Lesson: Greed and selfishness have no place in life; as humans, we shouldn't allow greed and desire to lead us. We should try our best to share any little thing we have with people who don't have it.
If we adopt this attitude, the world will be a better place to live in.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this story.
