Fishing For Crabs in My Village

Hello friends #steem-family everyone, how are you today, I hope everyone is fine, as well as myself much better by the grace of Allah until today. I'm so glad today I'm here to show you a very simple crab fishing method that is done by people in the area where I live.
Fishing for crabs is the livelihood of some people in my village after farming, because our village which is close to fish and crab ponds has a good selling price and sometimes the selling price can go up high. Some people also use their respective fish ponds to cultivate crabs.
My house is in a fish pond area and next to our house we have a fish pond. But we don't keep fish or shrimp in it. So the husband of my nephew released the baby crabs to be cared for which would then be taken when they were big.
However, because our fish ponds are shallow and the water is fresh, the crabs are taken even though they are not too big, because they can go up because the land is not high.

For crab fishing we usually use fish as bait. The fish used must be hard fish, so it doesn't come off easily when the crab bites it. But even better bait is eel, because eel has a tough flesh and also a distinctive odor and crabs can quickly smell the aroma. There are also those who use trap frames to catch crabs. The trick is to put the trap frame that has been baited into it and put it back into the water, the next day then we return to lift the bubu to take the crab that has been trapped in it.
This is a picture when the crab starts to bite the bait, the rope will be straight and also tense. To take crabs that have eaten the bait, here we use a net with a handle.

We have to lift the bait slowly, because if the crab finds out then he will release the bait line, and we have to wait for the crab to eat the bait again.
After successfully catching it and the crab will enter the net, then we tie the two thighs. During this binding process we must be very careful because the thigh can bite us and the bite is very difficult to release.
The amount of crab that has been caught is collected and then sold to crab traders.
This is the life of the people in my village every day apart from farming, even though the income is not much, but it is enough for daily food.
