Participants are representatives from Dayah, Islamic boarding schools, recitation teachers and other elements who will take part in ulama cadre education for the next 17 days.

Ulama cadre education aims to improve the ability of ulama cadres to understand Islamic law from its original sources.

In this education, MPU presented a number of resource persons as presenters. The participants began by attending an opening and then continued with KPU orientation, the main tasks (tupoksi) of KPU.

Then it continues with material on the science of monotheism and Sufism, the science of interpretation, the science of hadith, ushul fiqh. figh muqarram, legal drafting and legislation, exemplary Islamic sociology and local wisdom.

Next, the government's role in developing the function of ulama, Sufism, da'wah science, da'wah and communication science, Arabic hiwar, Adabul bathsi, Walmunawaraah and scientific writing, Islamic economics and banking and field orientation.

The opening of the ulama cadre training was attended by elements of Forkopimda, expert staff from the Bireuen regent, Head of the Dayah Education Office, Chair of the MPU and other elements.

The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan PhD, in his speech delivered by the Regional Secretary of Bireuen, Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, said that the Ulama Cadre Education (PKU) of the Ulama Consultative Council in 2024 will hopefully be able to produce future ulama candidates who can continue the current ulama to guide the ummah towards better in every aspect of life.

The education of ulama cadres is part of perfecting and grounding the overall implementation of Islamic law on the western tip of the island of Sumatra.

He added that the Bireuen Regency Government is aware of the many challenges that will be faced in efforts to implement Islamic Sharia. The reason is, there are parties who feel uncomfortable with the implementation of Islamic Sharia in Aceh and Bireuen in particular.

They consider Islamic Sharia as a threat because of the lack of complete information received about Islamic Sharia itself. For this reason, ulama should never get tired of conveying da'wah, advice and guidance to the people.

Apart from that, in facing the challenges of increasingly complex times in the future, clerical institutions need to strengthen coordination, communication and independence, the leadership of clerical institutions must be strong and visionary so that they are able to translate and actualize the values of Islamic Sharia in order to answer various social problems of the people.
