More than one hundred farmers together with the farmer group of Geudong Alue Village, Juang Bireuen City, Sunday (19/5/2024) carried out mutual cooperation to clean tertiary irrigation channels ahead of the planting season for the rice fields this year.
In routine mutual cooperation activities leading up to rice planting, apart from farmers, the Head of Kota Juang District, Musni Syahputra, Keuchik Geudong Alue, Sayed Fachrurradhi, Babinsa, Serda Jamaluddin, agricultural instructor Zuryati, chairman of the farmer group Samsul Bin Bahri and others participated.
Head of Juang City Subdistrict, Musni Syahputra, said that the area of rice fields in Geudong Alue is around 31.79 hectares. Mutual cooperation has been a tradition passed down from generation to generation before the rice fields are lowered every year.
Farmers in Geudong Alue first held a khanduri blang (feast going down to the rice fields) for a kenduri activity accompanied by joint prayers which was held on Saturday (18/5/2024) in the rice fields close to the keuchik's office.
