It is no more the privilege of the well -to- do only to acquire knowledge as it was so very long age. There are schools and colleges in almost every part of the country. Twenty first century downs with a sure promise to be a century of the peace and educational explosion.

For books and magazines. In this regard libraries play a vital role. Libraries are collection of books and other informational material. People come to library for reading, study and reference. Libraries contain a variety of materials.

The prime purpose of a library is to provide access to knowledge and information to fulfill this mission, libraries preserve a valuable record of culture. Then they pass down this to the coming generations. Therefore, they are an essential link between the past, present and future.

The few books that may be there in the dusty old admirals stink awfully. This is mainly so for want of fresh air in the stuffy locked cupboards. More often the books are just old titles, moth eaten and worn out.

Libraries obviously play an important role in creating a genuine love of books and interest in current affairs. Their reading rooms promote a spirit of discipline. Research, enquiry and fellowship. Libraries with variety of attractive tittles have a healthy, beneficial effect on the eager minds of students.
