Uberlingen Mid-Air Crash 01-July 2002

Hello everyone i hope you guys are fine, today i am going to talk about very tragic accident.
On 01-07- 2002 Bashkirian Airlines Flight 2937 a Tupolev Tu-154 passenger jet and DHL Flight 611 a Boeing 757 cargo jet, hit in sky over Uberlingen German town near the Switzerland border. All 60 passengers and 9 crew members and DHL Flight 611 crew members were killed.

Memorial Plaque

On July 1st 2002 Moscow Domodedovo international airport 45 Russian school children 15 passengers and nine crew members wait to board on Bashkirian Airlines Flight 2937 to Barcelona the capital city of Spain, This trip was their reward for good performance at school. Most of the children were from city called Ufa central Russia.They were in Moscow because they missed there flight from Ufa.

investigation

An official investigation by the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation, pointed out the main reason of the accident the two airplanes was flying at altitude level of 360 11,000 metres 36,000 ft on a collision course. Despite being just inside the Germany border the airspace was controlled from Swiss territory, by the private Swiss company called Skyguide. Peter Nielsen he was the only air traffic controller contorling the air traffic, he was working two different workstations at the same time, due to too much work load and delayed radar data,he didn't realised the problem in time and therefore he failed to keep the aircraft at a safe distance from each other.

During investigation they found a kid necklace on a tree bush that's why they made a memorial plaque like shape of necklace.
