NO GIRL SAYS NO TO A RING FROM A GUY WITH THE MONEY!

I was going through the comments on my post that talked about marriage proposal and I saw a comment that piqued my interest.

The comment read,

"It's all about money and power. No girl says no to a ring from a rich guy"

It made me ponder for a while. Ladies have been labelled to be materialistic. We have been termed to love money so much that it's the first thing we consider before accepting a proposal.

I am of the school of thought that says, "everyone loves money equally". This is why we strive daily to make ends meet. If a particular gender happens to put it as number one on the list of what their partner must have before saying yes, then perhaps such can be called materialistic but understand that it does not apply only to a particular gender. Nowadays, both have been known to desire partners who are financially stable.

When a woman has her own money and only seeks a man who can measure up to her financial status, such shouldn't be viewed as being materialistic. It's only fair to want someone who is of the same status with you. You don't want him complaining you spend so much on shoes and bags because he knows you can comfortably afford it without his assistance so he feels threatened. Nothing makes a man more insecure than dating a lady who is richer than he is.

I have seen comedy skits that tend to support this notion that women are all about money. You see a guy walking on a road ask a lady out. She comes up with one excuse or the other why she can't give him her number but Immediately she sees him opening the door of an exotic car, she is suddenly asking if he has a pen.

Little wonder they said no man is ugly, all that matters is your bank account. Money isn't everything. Although it is very important in a relationship, it shouldn't be placed above character and virtues. If you are with him because of the money you see now, what happens when the money is no more? Would you stay?

I know you are getting ready to rant on the comment section. Before you go bla bla bla, as a lady, answer truthfully. Have you ever turned down a guy's proposal because he was broke?

Why did you say no to that guy that asked you out?

Guys, why do you think that lady you asked out said no to you?

Let's see if truly, women put money first before saying yes.
