The Acting Regent of Bireuen Chaired the Evaluation Meeting for the Preparation of Facilities and Infrastructure for the Faculty of Medicine, Almuslim University.

Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Aceh Province, Aulia Sofyan, chaired a meeting evaluating preparation of facilities and infrastructure for the Faculty of Medicine, Almuslim University (Umuslim) Peusangan, local district in Umuslim, Wednesday 3 July 2024.

The meeting to evaluate UMuslim's readiness to open a study program (Prodi) for medical education and medical professional education, is currently still in the process of applying for permits to the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Aulia Sofyan emphasized the importance of thorough preparation in the process of opening the study program. "Careful preparation is very important to ensure that quality education will be provided to students later," said Aulia Sofyan.

The Chancellor of UMuslim, Dr Marwan, explained that in order to open this study program he had made various preparations. "We have prepared facilities and infrastructure such as lecture buildings, laboratories, teaching hospitals," he explained.

Apart from that, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has received a recommendation to open a medical education study program and medical professional education. UMuslims are waiting for permission from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.

"By opening the medical education study program and Muslim medical professional education, it is hoped that it can help meet the needs of doctors in Bireuen Regency," said Marwan.
