Acting Governor and PB FASI Review Readiness of PON Venue at Malikussaleh Airport.

Acting (Acting) Governor of Aceh Bustami Hamzah and Daily Chair of PB FASI Air Marshal (Marsda) TNI Andi Wijaya inspected the readiness of the XXI National Sports Week (PON) Aerosport venue at Malikussaleh Airport, North Aceh, Thursday (27/6/2024).

The visit began with a trip using a CN – 295 aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force from SIM Air Base Airport at 08.15 WIB, to Malikussaleh Airport, North Aceh to review the progress and readiness of Aerosport, namely gliding and paramotoring.

Apart from that, participating in the group were a number of officials from the Indonesian Air Force Aspotdirga, namely Marsda TNI Andi Wijaya, Marsma TNI Tyas Nur Adi, Colonel PNB Nurtantio, Coordinator for Games and Competitions/Competition Director Cahyo Alkantana and several other officials.

Currently, Malikussaleh Airport, North Aceh, is being prepared as one of the arenas or venues for the XXI National Sports Week (PON), the Flying Aerosport Branch and the Paramotor Aerosport Branch.

During the visit, the Acting Governor of Aceh and his entourage received an explanation of the condition of the field and also saw firsthand the location of the airport which will be used for Paramotor and Kite Flying competition events.

Indonesian Air Force paramotor athletes carry out fly pass flights and maneuvers at the vaneu of Malikussaleh Airport.

After inspecting the location, Bustami Hamzah explained that his party was confident that the aero sports event would run as planned. He is optimistic that PON activities will be successful, both in North Aceh and elsewhere.

The people of North Aceh are expected to be able to welcome residents from outside according to the customs and customs of the Acehnese people who always glorify jamei (glorifying guests).

After reviewing PON preparations in North Aceh, the Acting Governor and his entourage continued their journey by air to Rembele Bener Meriah Airport.

There the Acting Governor will visit a number of PON holding points before continuing the road trip to PON points in Central Aceh and West Aceh.
