Acting Aceh Regional Secretary Opens 2024 Aceh UMKM Product Exhibition and Bazaar.

Acting (Pj) Aceh Regional Secretary (Sekda) Azwardi representing the Acting Governor of Aceh opened the Aceh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Product Exhibition and Bazaar which was centered in the North Aceh Regent's Office Yard in Landing, Lhoksukon, North Aceh, Friday, July 5 2024 , Evening.

Azwardi, when reading the written remarks of the Acting Governor of Aceh, emphasized the importance of the UMKM sector for Aceh's economy. According to him, support for UMKM is very significant because they are able to absorb a lot of labor and make the largest contribution to Aceh's Gross Regional Income (PRB) compared to other sectors.

"The Aceh government is paying special attention to the UMKM sector in Aceh, considering that UMKM support for the Aceh economy is quite significant," said Azwardi.

Azwardi explained that the Aceh Government is committed to continuing to advance the UMKM sector through various policies and programs. The steps that have been prepared include increasing access to financing, increasing the capacity and skills of UMKM players, increasing product promotion and marketing, creating a conducive business climate, as well as providing promotional facilities such as expos or product exhibitions.

According to Azwardi, the Aceh UMKM product exhibition and bazaar held today is a real effort to advance the UMKM sector in Aceh. This event is an opportunity for UMKM players to promote their products to the wider community, increase sales, and provide visitors with the opportunity to see and buy UMKM products directly from manufacturers.

"UMKM players can also learn from each other and exchange information about products and marketing strategies," he added.

Azwardi hopes that this UMKM product exhibition and bazaar will not only be able to expand the marketing of Aceh UMKM products, but also encourage Aceh UMKM production to be able to compete at the global level. He also highlighted the importance of taking advantage of the momentum of the 21st PON which will be held next September in Aceh. This event will be a big opportunity to promote Aceh UMKM products to the tens of thousands of visitors who visit.

"In the next few months there will be many UMKM exhibition activities held, especially in connection with Aceh's appearance as host of the 21st PON," he said.

At the end of his speech, Azwardi invited the community and Aceh UMKM players to make the best use of this UMKM product exhibition and bazaar. He is optimistic that with joint support, Aceh's UMKM can develop in the global market and encourage regional economic development.

"In this way, we can make Aceh's UMKM host in our own country, and with our joint support, we can encourage Aceh's UMKM to develop in the global market," concluded Azwardi.

Meanwhile, Acting Regent of North Aceh Mahyuzar in his speech thanked all parties involved in the successful implementation of the exhibition and bazaar. He hopes that the public can take advantage of this moment to introduce their various business products and become a venue for interaction between various parties.

The opening of the event was also attended by elements of North Aceh Forkopimdakab, Commission IV DPRA, PLH Head of Aceh Cooperatives and SMEs, as well as other relevant officials and UMKM business actors.
