Life is uncertain and it makes us alive

My friend is a passionate supporter of Manchest United football club. He said he was indifferent about the team winning today game because winning is becoming a regular occurrence for the team that it's already known even before the match started. Some Man Utd upporters are just like that, full of funny bragging. Jokes aside, it made me wonder what if we know the result of.a match even before it started. What if we know all the details including the exact goals, when and how they will be scored, who will score it, etc.? Will we still be excited to watch the game? Will we still enjoy the game? Hard to say for sure unless we experienced such thing but a big chunk of enjoyment would most likely be lost.

People say that the only one thing that is certain in life is death. Come to think of it, even death itself is uncertain. We still don't know when and how we will die. From birth to death, life is full of uncertainties. We, humans, are usually aversive to uncertainties. When faced with it, we feel worried, anxious and become indecisive. No wonder we don't fancy it. But, without it, just like the football match scenario I mentioned, at least some important aspects of our life will be lost. We will be indifferent. There will be nothing to think about and to be hopeful about. We might even procrastinate more. We will live a known life while our mind would be lost somewhere, if our mind still exists at this point. That's why I think we should adopt a habit of embracing uncertainties in life often. It's true. Life is uncertain, and it makes us all alive.
