WEEKLY CONTEST WEEK 3 - Poetry Game - MY LOVE
why do you stay there are no bruises on your skin but the scars in your heart can be seen
through your eyes
love is what you wanted but the love you attained was only disguised to keep you blind until
you were locked down within your demise
the verbal threats and the mental chains that bind you to him
only fuels his eagle because he knows he will always win
and even after the wolf in sheep's clothing decided to cross a line you chose to remain and stay by his side
i thought things would be different and the lies would come to an end
but sadly he knows how to break you and then act like your friend
i question how it's so easy to fall in love with someone that shows their defective traits
and harder to love someone who in modern terms isn't a snake
when do the tears and the stress overpower the love you feel for him or have you decided that no matter what he does that love will always win
imagine being a bystander watching as the years pass but nothing seems to change
you hold on to the picture-perfect future because it was decided once you got engaged
i can only hope that behind lies the betrayal and deception you will find moments of happiness with him in your corner
because a life with him has become your unhealthy obsession
you've become his lovely assistant while he continues to be the performer
there's a knot in my chest that appears whenever i'm reminded that he's still in your life
but i guess all he can do is watch from the sidelines and continue to accept that you are his wife
may god guide you through the path you chose to take
but remember the one beside you wil never be genuine just another fake
