steemit is some of the few tokens that has an operational business model behind it. To the best of my current knowledge, steemit is one of the only unit whose token can be used to make a meaningful activity. Together with the SBD, steem forms the SteemTokenUnit (STU). Steem Power is power, the point is to go a step further than the DPOS system.
