Hey everyone in SteemSchool and the Steemians, it's my first making a post here. And I will be glad if my post is well accepted and supported, also, feel free to correct, assist and encourage me if I'm getting it wrong here.
Today's Short And Quick Diary
On my way to class this morning I came across this beautiful flower, by name flamboyant or pride of Barbados.
Pride of Barbados Flower Tree
Decorated by nature with it beautiful red flowering color.
Here in University of Nigeria Nsukka, it's used to decorate the school environment which beautifies it and made it attractive to humans and animals.
I love nature and photo shooting of nature.
Nature is beautiful, together we can save nature.
Reaching to class this morning our lecturer conducted some practical for different groups in our class. Today my group which is group four did experiment No 1.
The Circuit Connection
Title: Resistance Measurement And Maximum Power Transfer.
Aim: To determine the maximum power transfer in a circuit.
Apparatus are as numbered below :
(1)Rheostat: This is a variable resistor
(2)DC source: This is the power source, it generates energy for the circuit.
(3)Voltmeter: This is used in measuring the voltage or electric potential in a volts unit
(4)Ammeter: This is used to measure the amount/size of current present in a circuit usually in amperes.
(5)Two way switch: It's used to change the paths of current flowing in a circuit
(6)Connectors(wire): The wire is used to connect all the apparatus which carries current which flows into the circuit.
(7)resistance: The resistance is the opposition to the flow of current into the electricity conducting path.
Me in the Laboratory
There are two types of Resistance are, which are (I) Thevenin Resistance(R subscript th) and (II)External Resistance or load (R subscript L).
A load Resistance is any device circuit that draws energy from a source, examples are fan, television, telephone, etc.
Condition for maximum power transfer state that:
Thevenin Resistance (R subscript th) is/must be equal to External Resistance (R subscript L).
We have two type of connection here, which are parallel and series connection.
In parallel connection the voltages flowing through are always the same while in series connection the current flowing through are always the same.
Disadvantages of maximum power transfer is that it reduces efficiency.
Application of maximum power transfer:
1; In communication system
2; In audio amplifier.
