I am Venezuelan ... and for those who do not know Venezuela, it is a beautiful country with beautiful landscapes and very rich, it has the largest oil reserve in the world. Wao, it's good to know that... but... in recent years he's going through his worst moment.

Chaos and misery have taken hold of Venezuela, unfortunately by a mediocre government that has not valued the potential of the country it leads and that only thinks about its own well-being, its thirst for power and individualistic ambition. They have forgotten a people and a wonderful country that still maintains the faith to rise again and shine despite the vicissitudes and misery that beset it.

There are many shortcomings in my country, but here I will only talk about the issue of gasoline ... An ordeal for many!

In Venezuela, the price of gasoline was insignificant, and with a country in abundance many people had several vehicles, and they could go wherever they wanted without the fear of running out of gasoline because there was simply gasoline everywhere. For example, I was a person who did not like having the gas tank below half, and used to put gasoline in my car every 3 days, sometimes the tank was only a quarter short and in the same way I would pour gasoline . I had a gas station on the way to my house and in less than 5 minutes I was filling my tank.

Well, that was "before". Since last year, the issue of gasoline in Venezuela has become more acute, many states in the country suffered extreme shortages, especially in the border states. Little by little it became more and more acute until it became another evil at the national level. Here in my city, it began to get worse in the first months of 2020, we began to see the shortage of gasoline, and finally they implemented the calendar to be able to supply by license plate number and now you must spend hours in a queue to get it.

Today in many states, people must stay in a queue for 1 or more days in order to refill gas, exposing themselves to the danger of crime. In other states you don't have to stay a whole day, but you do have to spend many hours in a queue to be able to fill up, this is the case in my city.

The weekend was my day to fill up on gasoline, well, on gasoline days I have to prepare myself as when I went for a family day out. I can't leave my daughters alone at home, so I have to go with them, so I have to bring food, water, sweets, toys and everything so that they are comfortable and can bear spending hours in the car, without air conditioning and in the sun loud while we queue.

This time it took us 5 hours, but thank God we were able to get gas. The previous time, we were in line for 3 hours and the gasoline ran out, we had to go to another service station and we were in line for 1 hour and they closed the station and we could not get gasoline !!. When that happens, it's really frustrating because that's when I remember the most that I live in a country with the largest oil reserves in the world and we must live this way.

But hey, all this should make us grow as people, as a people and as a nation so as not to make the mistakes of the past. The important thing in life is to learn from mistakes and to get up with more maturity. I know that soon my country will shine and rise again and we will come out of everything that has ruined my beautiful Venezuela.

Soy venezolana... y para los que no conocen Venezuela, es un hermoso país con hermosos paisajes y muy rico, tiene la mayor reserva de petroleo a nivel mundial. Wao, es bueno saber eso... pero... en los últimos años está pasando por su peor momento.

El caos y la miseria se ha apoderado de Venezuela, lamentablemente por un gobierno mediocre que no ha valorado el potencial del país que dirige y que sólo piensan en el bienestar propio, en su sed de poder y ambición individualista. Se han olvidado de un pueblo y un país maravilloso que aún mantiene la fe de volver a levantarse y brillar a pesar de las vicisitudes y la miseria que la asedia.

Muchas son las deficiencias en mi país, pero aquí solo hablaré de tema de la gasolina... Un calvario para muchos!

En Venezuela, el precio de la gasolina era insignificante, y con un país en abundancia muchas personas tenían varios vehículos, y podían ir a donde quisieran sin el temor de quedarse sin gasolina porque simplemente había gasolina en todas partes. Yo por ejemplo, era una persona que no me gustaba tener el tanque de gasolina por debajo de la mitad, y acostumbraba a colocar gasolina en mi carro cada 3 días, a veces al tanque solo le faltaba un cuarto y de igual forma yo echaba gasolina. Tenía una estación de servicio camino a mi casa y en menos de 5 minutos llenaba mi tanque.

Bueno, eso era "antes". Desde el año pasado, el tema de la gasolina en Venezuela se fue agudizando, muchos estados del país sufrían una escasez extrema, en especial en los estados fronterizos. Poco a poco se fue agudizando más y más hasta convertirse en otro mal a nivel nacional. Aquí en mi ciudad, se empezó a agudizar en los primeros meses del 2020, empezamos a ver la escasez de gasolina, y finalmente implementaron el calendario para poder surtir por número de placa y ahora debes estar horas en una cola poder obtenerla.

Hoy en día en muchos estados, las personas deben quedarse 1 o más días en una cola para poder surtir de gasolina, exponiéndose al peligro de la delincuencia. En otros estados no hay que quedarse todo un día, pero sí hay que pasar muchas horas en una cola para poder llenar, es el caso de mi ciudad.

El fin de semana tocó mi día para echar gasolina, bueno, los días de gasolina debo prepararme como cuando iba a pasear un día en familia. No puedo dejar a mis hijas solas en casa, entonces debo ir con ellas, así que debo llevar comida, agua, dulces, juguetes y todo para que ellas estén cómodas y puedan soportar estar horas en el carro, sin aire acondicionado y con el sol fuerte mientras hacemos la cola.

En esta oportunidad tardamos 5 horas, pero gracias a Dios pudimos echar gasolina. La vez anterior, estuvimos 3 horas en la cola y se acabó la gasolina, tuvimos que ir a otra estación de servicio y estuvimos 1 hora en cola y cerraron la estación y no pudimos echar gasolina!!. Cuando eso ocurre, es realmente frustrante porque es cuando más recuerdo que vivo en un país con la reserva de petróleo más grande del mundo y debemos vivir de esta manera.

Pero bueno, todo esto nos debería hacer crecer como personas, como pueblo y como nación para no cometer los errores del pasado. Lo importante en la vida es aprender de los error y a levantarse con más madurez. Sé que pronto mi país resplandecerá y se levantará nuevamente y saldremos de todo lo que ha arruinado a mi hermosa Venezuela.
