Hello steemians,

I trust our day is going very well, just a quick one. This just droppd in my heart this morning and I thought to share it here with my steemit family.

Before we continue, listen to this very short story, a true life story.

A young man was so much in love with this very beautiful lady, they were engaged to get married soon. One day, she bumped into and old time friend, her ex-lover. They exchanged contacts and decided to meet up again because they were both in a hurry and couldn't stand out to discuss some important things.

She got home and became so engrossed with house chores and duty such that she didn't remember to discuss it with her husband, she forgot.

2 weeks later her phone rang, it was on the table in the sitting room where her husband was seated watching the television. Helooked through the phone, saw the man's name and became very furious.

When she came out to grab her phone, they got into a fight about the person that called. She explained everything to him but he didn't believe her. He accussed her of cheating.

He has once been into such a relationship before and has always live with it. It was said that he called of the wedding and asked for a break. She pleased with him but he refused, his insecurities cost him his wedding.

Aunty was heart broken and found solace in her ex-lover who was still single as that time. Well they only lost contacts because the man left the country 6 years ago. I guess you know what the end of that story would be.

The ex-lover got married to his dream woman and they lived happily ever after. The supposed husband lost a priceless jewel because he couldn't forgive his ex who cheated on him.

WHAT IS FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is letting go of hurtful offences, provocations, injuries, and scandals caused by a fellow human being.

No man is an island; from the time you were borngill you will leave this Earth, you will always interact with others and as such, offences must come.

It has always been known that one who uses a pencil will definitely make mistakes with them so a provision for an eraser was made. God knows that living together on Earth with so many differences can be difficult and attract offences so he made provision for forgiveness.

As our faces are different, so are our attitudes, behaviours and reactions to incidents. For instance, what may offend Mr. Monday may not seem offensive to Mr. Tuesday and vice versa.

Just as offences are constant factors in human relationship, forgiveness has to be constant for life to go on.

HOW TO FORGIVE

• Learn to accept the fact that people will and must definitely offend you.

• Prepare for it.

• Never say a word almost immediately.

• Take a deep breath and try to calm your self down.

• Think on amazing things that makes you happy so that you can try to forget the incident for the moment.

• Finally, do not keep malice, call the person and tell him how you feel about what has happened.

Even if the person isn't remorseful, with what you did, they will and ask will ask for forgiveness. You will then find it very easy to forgive them.

Let's learn to forgive and live in peace.
