Pearl Luster in Bukit Indah: Poetry Game |
On a machine, you have chiseled a promise
to share silent poetry without words
You pick up diction from a pearl
which sinks at the bottom of the ocean
"But the light pierced the sky," you say.
"You mistake," I said. the light has pierced my heart
and nailed the soul to the light of your eyes
sink with the aroma of cake
which reminds me
on our dinners in the past
which failed to materialize
for time has betrayed love
When the footprints were carved in Bukit Indah
the stories spilled from the red of your lips
about the meeting that got lost in the folds of time
about the nameless island you are currently living on together with asked
about the nameless island that I now live in together asked
of the longing which is dark in the time of light
and light when it gets dark
The story goes out when we have to part in an instant
I left you on a far island
with canvas and colorful paint
like our hearts
and your brushes were busy dancing while i was gone
You paint the pearl which is now glowing
up there, in Bukit Indah
Then you chisel a new promise to complete the longing
the sturdy branches became a canvas
as the colors fade
your lips give off the scent of green leaves
roots rose and enveloped the world
the leaves were wet and green again
"I am not a poet-painter," said your eyes.
“But I want to be the first and last verse
for you to remember all the time. "
Roots spell the word for word that is deprived of color
but the scent ran
from root to shoot
heralding the dry season which had just ended
