There is nothing comparable to the peace and respect that there is in fulfilling hobbies with your own money
There is a strange peace between buying one's own things with one's own income and buying something for one's parents or younger siblings with that money. There is no joy and no respect in fulfilling hobbies by asking from someone
After a certain age, it takes a lot of hesitation to ask for something from the family. Hundreds of hobbies remain unfulfilled for this hegemony. Your father has a lot of money. But that is not your income. It is his earning money. Therefore this is his place of honor.
Every boy and girl needs to be self-reliant. Slowly try to stand on your own two feet, no matter which family you belong to, lower or middle class or upper class. You will see that your self-esteem will increase a lot. You don't even have to reach out to others to fulfill your hobbies with it.
