Approaching Eid al-Adha 1445 H, Lon Asan Residents Feel the Blessing of Cheap Food from the Government of Aceh Besar Regency.

Approaching Eid al-Adha 1445 H, residents of Gampong Lon Asan, Lembah Seulawah District, Aceh Besar finally felt the blessing of cheap food held by the Aceh Besar district government (Pemkab) through the Food Service in the Meunasah Yard of Gampong Lon Asan, Lembah Seulawah, Aceh Besar, Wednesday (12/6 /2024).

Head of the Aceh Besar Food Service, Alyadi, who directly monitored the cheap food event, said that the people of Lon Asan and its surroundings were very enthusiastic about getting cheap food which was held ahead of the Feast of Sacrifice.

"We see that the enthusiasm of the people here is quite high in getting cheap food. We hope that the presence of this Cheap Food Bazaar will really benefit the community, especially ahead of Islamic holidays," he said accompanied by the Head of Lembah Seulawah Subdistrict, Husaini.

He also added that the cheap food market in collaboration with Perum Bulog is routinely held to stabilize food availability and handle inflation, by providing food prices cheaper than market prices for community needs.

"The main aim of providing cheap food is to help people get cheap food directly from the source," he added.

In the cheap food activities carried out, the district government provided a number of basic ingredients, including 5 kg of rice Rp. 50,000, 2 liters of oil Rp. 28,000, 2 kg sugar Rp. 29,000 and 1 board of eggs Rp. 46,000. There are also red chilies 1/2 kg Rp. 26,000 and shallots 1/2 kg Rp. 20,000 and a total of 1 package Rp. 199,000.

Meanwhile, the Head of Information Distribution and Food Reserves for Aceh Besar, Idar Laila, said that we are providing around 350 packages for the Lembah Seulawah sub-district. "We provide 350 packages here, God willing, there will be enough and usually there are more because we only buy outside the package," he said.

A resident of Lon Asan Rahmawati (39) admitted that he was grateful to be able to get cheap food at a very affordable price than usual. "Thank God, we have been greatly helped by the existence of this cheap market, far from the usual prices on the market, especially when it is approaching the market price, there will definitely be an increase, for that we would like to thank the government of Aceh Besar and Bulog," he concluded.

Apart from the Head of the Aceh Besar Food Service, Alyadi and officials from the Greater Aceh Food Service were also the Head of the Seulawah Valley Forkopimcam and Forkopimcam elements as well as Lon Hasan gampong officials and hundreds of residents.
