Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, PhD, represented by Regional Secretary Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, MSi, opened the implementation of the 2024 stunting consultation and kick off the simultaneous intervention, Wednesday (25/6/2024) morning, in the Old Secretariat Hall.

The activity was attended by 100 participants, combined with a kick off of a simultaneous intervention to accelerate the reduction of stunting in Bireuen Regency, marked by beating meetings, reading commitments and agreement on activity plans, signing commitments and minutes of stunting consultations.

"I ask the Bireuen Regency Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS), sub-district TPPS and gampong TPPS as well as other stakeholders, to increase coordination and collaborate in making efforts to accelerate stunting reduction," he hoped.

At the gampong level, we asked the geuchik (village head) as the gampong TPPS supervisor, together with the TPPS chair, village midwife, Puskesmas nutrition officer, family planning officer, Family Assistance Team (TPK) and Human Development Cadre (KPM) to carry out investigations and finding babies/toddlers at risk of stunting and families at risk of stunting and optimizing the use of village funds to accelerate stunting reduction.

For the sub-district heads as heads of sub-district TPPS, we ask them to facilitate, coordinate the gampong and ensure that both specific and sensitive interventions are accommodated in the gampong revenue and expenditure budget (APBG).

At the end of his remarks, the Regional Secretary also hoped that all stakeholders could take their respective roles, initiating innovations in accordance with existing problems as practice, both new innovations and replication results from other regions.
