Kalipur is a village known as the nursery village. Shah Alam (35), son of Md. Altab Hossain of Kalipur village in Nalka UP has become a flower peddler out of love for flowers. As soon as winter came, he drove out with flower saplings of different varieties to the door of flower lovers.Take flower saplings and run around the secluded villages of the village including Raiganj, Tarash, Oligara upazila of Salanga. Shah Alam's flowers are not less appreciated in front of various educational institutions including schools and colleges. Rose, Ganda, Dahlia, Nayan Tara, Bakul, Rajnigandha, Hasna Henna, Jasmine, Chameli and various flower saplings are available with him.

Shah Alam said, his family was going through hardships before. A number of nursery owners in the village, seeing the support in a short time, decided that he would also run a nursery business. With only Tk 5,000 in hand, he started a business selling flower saplings, mango, blackberry, jackfruit, litchi and other saplings on 200 acres of land. In a short span of time, he has set up a nursery of fruit trees on 3 bighas of land and flower seedlings on 2 bighas of land.Now he has 8-10 lakh rupees in his business. At present the family of 6 members is doing very well. Shah Alam himself liked flowers. He sells flower saplings by ferry in the hope that every house will be a flower garden.
