Mutual agreement.

The duty of the two disputing persons is to settle their disputes and to conclude a treaty on the demand of brotherhood. As true as this is, society also has a responsibility in this regard. Because Islamic society refers to the complementary human group that helps each other. Therefore, it is unimaginable that the two members of the society will be seen fighting and fighting with each other while the society will play the role of a silent spectator and will be at a safe distance. That can never be justified. Because then the two of them will continue to burn in the fire of quarrel and that fire will gradually spread and burn the whole society to ashes.

Rather, it is the duty of people of sound opinion and influence to mediate between the two parties for the sake of truth and justice, and to refrain from enslaving their lusts. Allah has given this instruction.

Make peace between your brothers, and fear God. Then hopefully you will be shown mercy. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) himself analyzed the high status of this amendment and the provision of reconciliation and the bad consequences of mutual disputes.

Shall I tell you of a better deed than naafil prayer, fasting and charity? The Companions said, "Yes, Messenger." He said that it is a provision of mutual correction and reconciliation. Because mutual disputes are things that shave. I do not say that it shaves the hair, but I say that it will destroy the religion.
