I designed this as a tattoo for a client and they never came to get the tattoo.

So, I decided to improve on the design and color it in. I did post it up on my Instagram but, Im not gonna go find the link (this is in 2019 and Ive posted a million things since then).
Ive been sharing some of my older work lately to Steemit and basically catching up with the community at this point. I might even consider releasing some of this art as NFTs (the gas fees are ridiculous right now for ETH and BTC).

Finished Version

11X17 - I used Prismacolor pencils and used a shading stick to get the blends smoothed out. After getting a good base coat down its important to go back with an eraser and lighten up a few areas to layer the color more to get a softer and smoother look. Prismacolor is hands down my favorite colored pencil to use because it has more rich and oily feel to it.

Lined

11x17" - I normally use a red pencil to sketch all the shapes and form the piece. I then go in and refine it with different Sharpies to create line weights. Its really one of the main techniques Tattoo artists use when developing and idea for a tattoo design.
