Para mí es muy grato poder participar en otra edición del concurso #casaradical organizado por @crissanch. Debo confesar amigo organizador que cada vez el tema es más complicado. Te preguntaras ¿El por qué de mi comentario? Pues considero que muchas veces lo más simple es lo más complicado. Y este tema no es la excepción que rompe la regla. Pero los venezolanos somos del tamaño del reto que se nos presenta, así que aquí voy.

En mi vida, como eh confesado en otras publicaciones, tengo tres pasiones en. Una la eh comentado en ediciones anteriores de este concurso. Voy a participar en esta edición comentando la segunda pasión en mi vida. El Metal o el mal llamado Rock Pesado.
Desde muy joven me hice seguidor de este estilo musical tomando el mismo como modo de vida. Hay quienes no entienden esta frase, quizás en otra ocasión exponga mis razones para utilizarla.

Por ahora les comentare que, desde que comencé a escuchar este estilo musical, hubo una banda que llevo la batuta entre las agrupaciones que escucha. La banda inglesa IRON MAIDEN fue siempre para mí la punta del iceberg en cuanto a este género musical.
Durante muchos años esta banda domino mis gustos por el metal. Pero nada es eterno y a pesar de que todavía está entre las preferidas por mi llego otra que tomo su lugar de una manera brutal.
Aparece en escena una agrupación estadounidense llamada DREAM THEATER la cual, en leguaje colonial venezolano, me voló el cerebro haciendo que este diera vueltas en mi cabeza. Convirtiéndose en mi favorita. Sitial que no ha logrado destronar alguna banda después de ella.

Era y es espectacular el virtuosismo hecho metal. Algo innovador para el momento y que todavía sigue siendo especial dentro de un subgénero que lograron formar. Siendo la inspiración de muchas bandas de este estilo en la actualidad.
DREAM THEATER es una banda estadounidense formada por Mike Portnoy, batería, John Myun en la voz y John Petrucci, en la guitarra eléctrica, quienes estudiaban música en Berkler College of Music en la ciudad de Massachusetts, Estados Unidos. Completada la formación por varios músicos que pasaron por sus filas hasta llegar a una formación estable junto a Jordan en los teclados y James LaBrie en la voz.

Al pasar de los años uno de los fundadores, Mike Portnoy, deja la banda u es reemplazado por Mike Magnini quien permanece en la banda en la actualidad.
Llevan en su haber 14 discos en estudio aparte de varios discos en vivo y discos homenajes a bandas como IRON MAIDE, PINK FLIY, METALLICA, entre otros asi como versiones de temas populares dentro del género rock y metal.
Tuve la oportunidad de ir a las tres visitas que realizaron a Venezuela. La primera en el poliedro de Caracas en el año 2005, la segunda en el Fórum de Valencia en el año 2008 y la tercera y última en el estacionamiento del CCCT en Caracas. Está de más decir que me disfrute estas presentaciones al máximo.
Su virtuosismo a la hora de componer e interpretar sus temas ha llevado a que muchos músicos dentro del género del metal y otros fuera del ismo lo sigan con mucha atención. De hecho gran parte de los asistentes a sus presentaciones en el país eran músicos de bandas de todos los niveles y genero dentro del metal nacional.
Sin embargo esta agrupación tiene muchos detractores dentro de la fila del metal al considerar que su música pierde fuerza dentro del género al utilizar técnicas de música clásica o académica. Esto es refutado por muchos de los que seguimos a este grupo. De hecho para mi es lo que lo hace especial.
Cada vez que escucho esta agrupación puedo relajarme, divertirme, soñar, viajar, entre muchas emociones positivas. Este hecho es el que la ha llevado a convertirse en mi favorita dentro del mundo del metal.
Claro es de lógica que aquellas personas que no les gusta el metal, al leer este escrito diferirán de mis pensamientos. Pero si tienen algún conocimiento musical traten de escucharla y entenderán de lo que escribo.

En el año 2010 tuve la suerte de ir a una presentación en Puerto La Cruz, estado Anzoátegui del Jordan Rudees, tecladista de la banda, que visito el país con su proyecto personal de concierto de piano en metal con orquesta, junto a un joven virtuoso del piano de origen balcánico.
La presentación en Caracas de este par de músicos estuvo acompañada por la orquesta sinfónica del municipio Chacao. En Puerto La Cruz la presentación fue más de metal. La esencia de Dream Theater se sintió en dicho evento. Se nota el aporte de este músico en las composiciones de la banda.
Lamentablemente la situación país ha llevado a que esta banda no pueda visitar tierras venezolanas. A pesar de las muchas declaraciones en medios especializados donde confiesan las ganas de volver al país, los precios de dicha presentación serían muy elevados y quizás no habría suficientes personas que pudieran costearlo.
Acá mi Favorito en una de mis pasiones. Espero que les sea interesante esta publicación.
Acá les dejo un video de un tema que para mí es muy especial. A pesar de ser instrumental tiene un significado gigantesco para mí. De hecho siempre eh sentido que es como que contara mi historia a través de los diversos cambios de ritmo que tiene este tema. Greetings community members #starsofsteem and the rest of the #steemit family members who read this publication.
I am very pleased to be able to participate in another edition of the #casaradical contest organized by @crissanch. I must confess, my organizer friend, that the subject is becoming more and more complicated. You may wonder why I'm commenting? Well, I think that many times the simplest thing is the most complicated. And this topic is not the exception that breaks the rule. But we Venezuelans are the size of the challenge we face, so here I go.

In my life, as I have confessed in other publications, I have three passions in. One I have commented on in previous editions of this contest. I will participate in this edition by commenting on the second passion in my life. Metal or the badly named Heavy Rock.
Since I was very young I became a follower of this musical style taking it as a way of life. There are those who do not understand this phrase, perhaps on another occasion I will explain my reasons for using it.

For now I will tell you that, since I started listening to this style of music, there was a band that took the baton among the groups you listen to. The English band IRON MAIDEN was always for me the tip of the iceberg in this musical genre.
For many years this band dominated my taste for metal. But nothing is eternal and even though it is still among my favorites, another one arrived and took its place in a brutal way.
An American group called DREAM THEATER appears on the scene which, in Venezuelan colonial language, blew my brains out making them spin in my head. Becoming my favorite. Site that has not managed to dethrone any band after it.

Virtuosity made metal was and is spectacular. Something innovative for the moment and still special within a sub-genre they managed to form. Being the inspiration for many bands of this style today.
DREAM THEATER is an American band formed by Mike Portnoy, drums, John Myun on voice and John Petrucci, on electric guitar, who studied music at Berkler College of Music in Massachusetts, United States. Completed the formation by several musicians who passed through their ranks to reach a stable formation with Jordan on keyboards and James LaBrie on vocals.

Over the years one of the founders, Mike Portnoy, leaves the band or is replaced by Mike Magnini who remains in the band today.
They have 14 albums in their studio apart from several live albums and tributes to bands like IRON MAIDE, PINK FLIY, METALLICA, among others as well as versions of popular songs within the rock and metal genre.
I had the opportunity to go to the three visits they made to Venezuela. The first one at the Caracas' poliedro in 2005, the second one at the Valencia's Forum in 2008 and the third and last one at the CCCT's parking lot in Caracas. It goes without saying that I enjoyed these presentations to the fullest.
His virtuosity in composing and performing his songs has led many musicians within the brass genre and others outside the ism to follow him closely. In fact, most of the people who attended his presentations in the country were musicians from bands of all levels and genres within the national metal.
However, this group has many detractors within the ranks of the metal to consider that their music loses strength within the genre to use techniques of classical music or academic. This is refuted by many of us who follow this group. In fact, for me this is what makes it special.
Every time I listen to this group I can relax, have fun, dream, travel, among many positive emotions. This fact is what has led them to become my favorite in the world of metal.
Of course it is logical that those people who do not like metal, reading this writing will differ from my thoughts. But if you have any musical knowledge, try to listen to it and you will understand what I am writing about.

In 2010 I was lucky enough to go to a presentation in Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui state of Jordan Rudees, keyboardist of the band, who visited the country with his personal project of a piano concert in metal with orchestra, together with a young piano virtuoso of Balkan origin.
The presentation in Caracas of this pair of musicians was accompanied by the symphonic orchestra of the municipality of Chacao. In Puerto La Cruz the presentation was more of a brass one. The essence of Dream Theater was felt at this event. The contribution of this musician can be noticed in the compositions of the band.
Unfortunately the country situation has led to the fact that this band cannot visit Venezuelan lands. In spite of the many declarations in specialized media where they confess the desire to return to the country, the prices of this presentation would be very high and perhaps there would not be enough people who could afford it.
Here is my favorite in one of my passions. I hope you find this publication interesting.
Here I leave you a video of a topic that for me is very special. In spite of being instrumental it has a gigantic meaning for me. In fact, I have always felt that it is like telling my story through the various changes of rhythm that this theme has. Wowwwww!!! Estuviste en el concierto de Dream Theatre, Que genial!! Es una banda legendaria con excelentes músicos, todos prodigios. Me gusta mucho en Endless Sacrifice el sólo compartido de Rudess y Petrucci.
