What is Mass Voting?

Mass voting is a general term to cast voting in bulk rather than voting one by one. In the Steem blockchain, we use mass voting to cast upvotes on a large list at once. Most of the time community curators used to vote for a large number of posts with the same weight. This tool will help to achieve this task easily.

Form Explanation

When you open the mass voting tool you get a simple form with 5 or more empty fields. Let's explore them in detail with their validations.

Voter Account

Here we enter the steemit account that will be used to cast vote on the list of posts. Voter accounts must meet the steem username requirements. (length > 3 and < 16).

Private posting key

Here we need to enter the private posting key of the voter account that we entered earlier. We suggest using only the private posting key. The key is not stored anywhere and it is not encrypted. If you are logged in to the site then there's a special case that we will discuss at the end.

Vote Weight

Percentage of vote that we want to cast on the each post in the list. Vote weight is valid from 0 to 100.

Links

Paste all the links in this field. User allowed to paste the links with the text like, (LINK delegation-100). Tool will extract all the links from this field.

Special Case

There is special case when you already logged in to the site. Then the question arise that why you need to enter the voter account and posting key again. So here is the option for this.

If you want to use the same login account to cast vote then no need to enter the voter account and private posting key. You can keep these two fields empty and tool will authenticate your credential with you common password and start voting.

Procedure

Vote casting can take time as Steem only allow 1 vote transaction from the same account in 3 seconds. Suppose that you can to cast vote on 10 posts then you need to wait for 30-40 seconds to complete all the transactions.

You can stop the voting procedure. But sometime the ongoing vote can not be canceled. All the failed transaction will be show after the procedure completed.
