“Lazy, hazy, crazy days!” 😎
“Cot, you watch the house, it’s low tide!”😻
This is the most interesting time to explore the Ocean beaches!😇
The northwest doesn’t have sandy beaches like our friend @silversaver888 in California!😊
The Northwest coastline is mostly rocky, with tide pools hidden throughout the rugged shoreline!
The third photo is one of several estuaries! In the very early 1900’s this particular estuary, was the towns dumping ground!😮
I guess back then they took the easiest way to dispose of trash!🙄
Years later, the town of Fairhaven spent considerable time, effort, and money, to clean up this water way!
At low tide, this isn’t very impressive, but what you are seeing is a small stream of freshwater, flowing back out to Sea.😊
In a few hours, this will fill back up, and become a saltwater lake!
Take a look at the floating dock……..
Off in the distance is the home port for the Alaskan ferry!
Every Wednesday the ferry makes its way back home.
Unfortunately, the Mrs. works every Wednesday!😮
Next week, Liz has Wednesday off !🥰
So we are planning a special trip back down to photograph the Alaskan ferry coming home!🤗
Late afternoon….. it was time to head home.
That’s OK….. today was a great day, and we will be back, with iPhone cameras, ready! 😎
