You believe women softened because they escape from home, have fun? Perhaps they do because they have a day to share different from telling about doing the dishes and wiping floors. It can also be they no longer care. Without care or caring about someone it's easier to look more mild, friendlier (or not).
Somewhere souls have to meet, need to have something in common or recognize each other if not it will be hard.
I am glad I don't have such a brother.
