Making Tracks............. NW Cascade Wanderings
…..to Marine Park!
‘Alexa, what’s the percentage chance of rain today?’ She responded, ‘it might rain today; there’s a 49% chance.’ I scoffed at that because essentially, that’s a 51% chance it won’t-right? All I’ve got to say is if that was a 49% chance, I’d hate to see a 90+% chance! 😳 Shortly after asking, the heavens opened up! We decided at that point to make an attempt to go to Marine Park, as sometimes when we have rain, the bay doesn’t. Fingers crossed, we got in the car and headed out. Between home and the bay, we ran into total deluges of rain, almost heavy enough to pull over until it passed! Then we’d hit pockets of no rain, sprinkles, light rain, sunshine and back to the deluge. It was an odd drive! Fortunately, when we got to the bay, the sun was shining although there were areas of grey rain clouds in various pockets over the bay.
There were a few families out looking to enjoy the sun while it lasted. The thing is, you don’t know how to dress! I had jeans, hiking boots and a fleece jacket, as did @silvertop. I saw people in shorts and barefoot and some with winter coats on! There was a brisk breeze blowing, so it wasn’t warm.
Alfred the seagull was out and about!
I love the colors of the rocks as the sea waters undulates over them.
Here’s a short video; listen to the sound of the sea!
Very soothing…..
When we were done at the bay, we went grocery shopping, did a quick Walmart stop, ran through the Dollar Tree and finished at Starbucks for a much needed coffee. At several points throughout the trip, the devil got married several times as we also experienced rain while the sun was shining!
That’s gonna be it for today. I hope your Saturday was awesome. Take care and have a blessed Sunday! 🙏🙏🇮🇱🇺🇦
