"Does your country have a bride price for marriage?"

Today am writing on my country and the bride price. The bride price is the money paid by a man who wants to marry a girl to the girls father before the girls hand is given to him in marriage as his wife.
Many country have their stipulations about how they go about the issue of bride price and it’s payment. The country is made up of different satiates and the states made up of different tribes and culture and each of them have their own traditions and the way they go about their bride price payments.
In my country which is made up of thirty six states, we collect bride price but the bride price collection differs from every tribe or locality. To some tribes their bride prices are very high while some tribes have very low bride prices. Aside the bride price is what we call the marriage list. The bride price is a component in f the marriage list. Hence the bride price in some cases may be low but the entire marriage list will be high.
While some tribes are known for both low bride price and low marriage list. These tribes seem to have more people marry from them than from the ones with exorbitant bride prices. In my place, the last time I knew of our bride price it was 800 naira which is approximately about 1. 6 steem. This is just an apart of the total bride price list.
In the bride price list. There are segments of list to be paid for example there’s the list for the father of the bride, For the mother of the bride, the uncles and the family members. The listed members and women group of the community all have their own share in the bride price list.
The groom ones with his people to collect the bride list and provides everything written in the list including the bride price and give it to the bride families on or before the traditional wedding day. When the requirements written on the list is duely provided, the bride can be said to be duely married.
There are some situations where the groom has to do some negotiations in the situation were the groom does not have all required of him. With the negotiations gone well, they could arrive to a concensus and the wedding will hold.
In conclusion, the payment of bride price is what authenticates that a woman is married. Some women go to live with men whom they are not married to, these women are not said to be married until their bride price has been paid.
