Your country's special day of remembrance

hello friends today is another day to participate on @boylikegirl.club contest titled your country's special day of remembrance

I my country Nigeria there are so many special day of remembrance, this include 27th of may which is also known as Children's Day. This day the children's are let to rest from activities like schooling. This day has been in remembrance even before I was born and I don't know how long it has been.

Also there is another remembrance day which my country observe which is known as 29th of may this is to commemorate the 1999 journey of democratic rule in Nigeria. This means from 1960 when Nigeria got her independence, until 1998 the government rule was under the military and it was a strict type of government. So in 1999 the civilians started to rule and the person whom was elected has once ruled in the government era.

1st May is observed in Nigeria as workers day a day which government and private workers are celebrated because of the work they have been doing most of them are 9 to 5 workers so that day is set aside to celebrate the effort they have been putting in their works. So this is another day that is celebrated in my country.

Lastly I will now talk about 1st October this day is a great day for all Nigerians and two days of public holiday is observed because this is the day Nigeria got her independence this is how it went fist of all the English men were the ones ruling Nigerians until some honourable men step up to fight for their independence and finally of first October Nigeria got it. So it is a great day for all Nigerians to keep in mind because many people lose their lives trying to fight for their nations freedom.
