Today I brought some pics from my google drive.

오늘은 드라이브에 꽁꽁 숨겨져 있던 사진 몇 장을 가져와봤습니다.

I really like to travel around, but because of the Covid-19, there is literally no chance to go abroad nowadays. Only one thing that i can do now is just seeing some photos. Have you been to Wuhan before?

여행을 하는 걸 정말 좋아했지만, 코로나19 사태 이후에는 해외 여행은 거의 어려워졌죠. 할 수 있는 일이라곤 사진 몇 장 보는게 전부네요. 우한 혹시 가보셨나요? 주재원이나 유학 생활을 우한에서 하신 분들에게 추억을 회상할 수 있는 작은 선물이 되면 좋겠습니다.

I visited Wuhan in April, 2016. Already has passed 4 years in a flash. In 2016, I lived in Beijing. So my friends and I took a train to go to Wuhan. It usually takes 4~5 hours if you take a "Gao Tie(高铁)" which is an express train. But we took a normal train for saving money, because we were just students.

저는 2016년 4월에 우한을 방문했습니다. 벌써 4년이 순식간에 지나갔네요. 그때 저는 베이징에 거주하고 있었습니다. 그래서 친구들과 기차를 타고 우한에 가게 됐습니다. '까오티에（高铁）'라는 고속열차를 타면 약 4~5시간 정도가 걸리지만, 저희는 일반 열차를 탔습니다. 학생이라 돈이 별로 없었죠 :)

And it literally took maybe 15 hours. We bought for bed sits, so we lay down on the bed and read some books or just had a small talk. Why didn't we use smartphone? Because there is no signal in the train, it barely can be connect.

기차를 약 15시간동안 탄 것 같습니다. 저희는 침대칸 표를 구매했기 때문에 누워서 갔는데, 책도 조금 보고, 친구들이랑 얘기도 하고 그러면서 시간을 보냈습니다. 핸드폰은 하지 못했어요. 기차에서 인터넷이 잘 잡히지 않더라구요..ㅎㅎ

There were so many people in the train station as usual. And there was a long line in front of the entrance. We were so curious about it, because it was our first time to took a train in China! But when our turn had come, we figured out that the line was for luggage inspection.

역시나 언제나 그렇듯 기차역에는 사람이 정말 많았습니다. 기차역으로 들어가는 입구에는 엄청 긴 줄이 있어서 '이 줄은 대체 뭘까..?' 싶었는데 알고 보니 짐을 검사해서 사람이 많이 밀려있던 상황이더라구요 :)

And there were a few more process for security before you entering. First, you should show your ID card(or passport) and train ticket together. Second, you should not some dangerous things of course.

또, 짐 검사 뿐만 아니라 신분증과 기차표를 확인하고 있었습니다.

A thing surprised me was that we could not even bring a water. If you want to bring it in, you should prove that the water is can be drunk. Normally people drink a sip to show safety. This thing was very different from my country, we don't have those security process in Korea.

신기했던 건 물을 마음대로 가지고 들어갈 수 없다는 점이었어요! 만약 소지한 가지고 들어가고 싶다면, 보안 요원에게 '이건 먹을 수 있는 물이다'라는 사실을 증명해야 했습니다.

보통 한입정도 물을 마시면 통과시켜줬습니다. 승무원이 기차역 진입 시, 표를 검사하지 않는 한국의 기차 승차 과정과 너무나도 달랐기 때문에, 늦게 역에 도착한다면 기차를 놓치기 쉽상이겠더라구요 ㅎㅎ

But anyway we took the train and arrived at Wuhan safely. The first thing we did at wuhan was to find a restaurant. We were so starve, because we didn't bring any food in the train. But we couldn't find any good restaurant where serve something traditional Wuhan food in the station, there were only some fast foods. So, we had no choice but to eat pizza. lol

약간은 지루했던 기차 여행이 끝나고 우한에 도착했을 때, 첫번째로 찾은 곳은 밥집이었습니다. 기차에 간식거리를 챙겨가지 않았기 때문에 매우 배가 고팠던 기억이 납니다.

그런데 역에는 무언가 우한 특색 요리나 현지 음식점이 보이지 않더라구요. 역이라는 특성상 패스트푸드가 가장 많아 저희는 피자를 시켜먹었답니다..ㅎㅎ!

After eating, we went to "East lake". There were so many big lakes in Wuhan, such as 'South lake', 'Tangxun lake', etc., but we chose the 'East lake' for no reason. lol The lake was so huge that you cannot walk, but it was so normal. So we moved to see another landmarks in Wuhan.

피자를 먹고, 힘을 내서 우한에 있는 주요 관광지를 돌아보았습니다. 우한에는 남호, 탕쉰호, 동호 등 크고 작은 호수가 참 많은데, 저희는 그냥 특별한 이유 없이 눈에 가장 먼저 띈 '동호'를 가보았습니다.

그런데 막상 가보니, 호수가 굉장히 커서 걸어다닐 수 있는 정도가 아니더라구요. 하지만 그냥 호수는 호수였을 뿐 특별한 점은 없었습니다. 골프장에서 볼 수 있는 카트 같은 것을 타고 한바퀴 돌 수 있는데, 가격이 마냥 저렴하지만은 않았던 것 같네요!

There is a huge river named "Chang jiang" that passes through the center of Wuhan City. It is super huge. It was a rainy and foggy day when we visited, so we could never see the end of the bridge. I've heard that Wuhan has suffered risks of flooding historically, and there is really heavy rain nowadays in Wuhan. I sincerely hope there is no damage by the flood.

여기는 장강대교입니다. 장강은 우한 중심을 가로질러 흐르는 큰 강입니다. 정말 광활하더라구요! 저희가 방문했던 날은 비가 오고 안개도 자욱해서 장강대교의 반대편이 보이지 않을 정도였답니다. 그래도 카메라에 담기니 어렴풋이 끝이 보이긴 하네요!

우한은 이렇게 호수와 강이 함께 공존하고 있고, 그 크기도 상당하기 때문에 홍수 피해가 잦다고 합니다. 요즘 중국 중남부지역에 한달째 폭우경보가 지속되고 있다고 하는데, 큰 피해가 없었으면 좋겠습니다.

Anyway, after seeing the "Chang jiang", we visited a cafe to have some rest. I ordered a matcha latte and my friend ordered a ginger lemon tea and some brownies. The foods were good. The cafe was so cute, it wasn't big, but the interior was so pretty. And there were little cutie cats!

장강을 보고 쉴겸 인근 카페를 방문했습니다. 말차라떼와 생강레몬차, 브라우니를 시켜먹었습니다. 음식도 괜찮고, 카페도 크진 않지만 인테리어가 세심한 게 예쁘더라구요. 그리고 카페에 귀여운 고양이가 몇 마리 있었는데, 귀여워서 한참 바라보기도 했습니다.

After having some rest, we visited some other places in Wuhan, but I can't not remember where those places were and what i did in there. lol I guess it wasn't that impressive for me.

카페에 가서 쉰 이후에는 우한에 있는 주요 관광지를 돌아다녀보았습니다. 나름 설명도 찾아보면서 과거 건축물들에 대한 공부도 했지만, 지금에와서 생각해보면 사실 자세히 기억이 나지는 않더라구요!

여행이라는 것이 사람마다 정말 다른 경험을 하게 해주는 것 같아요. 그때의 저에게 있어서 여행은 그저 낯선 곳을 즐기고 새로운 경험을 시도해보는 정도였나봅니다 :)

광활했던 장강대교와 기대를 너무 많이 했던 호수, 그리고 비바람에 추워 고생하던 때에 만난 작은 예쁜 카페 정도가 인상에 남았습니다.

I don't know if there will be a chance to travel again in Wuhan. But if I have a chance, I want to visit there again. I wish I could eat a lot of local Chinese food in there again and experience the lives of Chinese people a little more.

앞으로 우한에 다시 여행을 갈 수 있게 될지 아직은 모르지만, 기회가 생긴다면 꼭 다시 한번 방문해보고 싶습니다.

가서 중국 현지음식도 다시 먹어보고 싶고, 중국인들의 생활도 조금 더 경험해보고 싶어지는 하루입니다 :)
