What is steem-engine ?

Many of us may have heard the name steem - engine for the first time. This is normal, because steem-engine has to connection with our blogging on steemit. Now actually what is the steem-engine?

steem - Engine is an internal exchange of steem. By internal exchange I mean the exchanges we are familiar with such as binance, houbi, Polonix. Similarly, steem-engine is an exchange site built on the steem blockchain .

But will we see all kinds of currencies there like BTC, ETH and all alt's?

No, this is one of the funniest things. If we don't see ALT coin there then what other coin can we see?

We can launch our own coins on the steem-engine. And those coins made by us can be bought and sold by ordinary users through steem-engine. But it will not have any USDT, BUSD pairs like normal exchange. Since it is built on the steem blockchain so the coins we make will be on the steem pair. I mean , there we can buy our coins with steem coin instead of USDT . The same thing is for selling .

There's a native coin Name ENG token . The ENG token is rewarded to the person who produce blocks . It's like BTC mining . When we Mine BTC we get reward trough BTC . But in Steemit we will be rewarded with ENG token .

But, the saddest news here is that our steem-engine is now down. The reason is, very recently our steem-engine node has been deleted. By this all our data has been deleted. As far as I heard steem-engine is now integrated with hive-engine .

Because of Steem-engine is down . So I took a screenshot from hive-engine . That may can give an idea how the engine works/ the interface .
