Hi steemians,
I'm so delighted to share with you all this wonderful update today. Recently, I have been making updates about my intention to promote the steemit platform here in Nasarawa state Nigeria. Today I bring you all the goodness of the first steemit seminar held here in the college of education Akwanga a local government area of Nasarawa state Nigeria.

Before this time, I have been making effort to ensure I pass through the right channel to get the seminar delivered. Due to that reason, I have met the NYSC official and currently, they are working on the official papers that will make our visit to NYSC functions more official we are believing that with time, we will also be invited to handle skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development (SAED) programs in the NYSC camp.

Since the time taken to get an official paper is taking a long, I decided to go out and educate IT students about the platform. Myself, @josepha and @dave-hanny went out to one of the IT firms here in the college of education with the permission of their tutor, we held a seminar which lasted for about 3 hours.

In this seminar, we explain some basic things about steemit and the steem blockchain. We also went ahead to inquire about any difficulties or anything they didn't understand about the said discussion and we found out that many of them have heard of steemit before and some even registered but because of lack of proper guidance they couldn't continue.

I have taken it up upon myself alongside my friends @josepha and @dave-hanny to guide them through the platform for at least 3 months so that they won't get stranded any longer. We have also created a WhatsApp group to accommodate all steemian here in Nasarawa state Nigeria such that whenever there are any issues or challenges, they can easily communicate it via the group.

As of today, we didn't sign up any new users to the platform. We are hoping to do that tomorrow. About 25 people were in attendance for the seminar and more than 20 showed much interest in joining and becoming a steemian. To see their seriousness, I have added them to the group and also shared an achievement 1 link with them to read and write theirs.

So, for those who can do that, by tomorrow we will be opening an account for them and also guiding them on how they can post their first post. We are hoping that with this, many more people will show interest tomorrow. After the entire presentation, we took a group photo outside as you can see in the images below.

Future Plans
It's my earnest desire to spread the good news of the steemit platform to every look and cranny place here in Nasarawa state Nigeria. The journey just started and we are hoping that we will get more motivation to keep the fire burning. As I said earlier in my previous post, I'm very aware of the reasons why people don't stay much on the platform and that is the reason I have resolved to guide them through the platform for at least 3 months.

We are planning to train this once first so that we can become large enough to go out there and advertise more about the steemit platform. We are also hoping that the steemit team will support our cause and help us to help all those interested to join the platform. The economic situation in Nigeria is very bad but we are managing to ensure that steemit makes a better life for all.

We are also planning on visiting other schools and possibly providing instructional aids for children such as branded steemit exercise books and also school bags. For the main time, this is the long time plan we are having so hopefully, we will get there with good support from the steemit team or individual donations. Thanks for reading my blog.

we invite you to support @pennsif.witness for growth across the whole platform through robust communication at all levels and targeted high yield developments with the resources available.

Indeed, we do appreciate your support, sir. Steemit needs to be spread to people because it is a nice platform to be on, and we have come to observe that here in Nasarawa State, the people are still lacking in terms of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, which is the reason why we will need to continue creating awareness about Steem blockchain and the Steemit platform.
