Returning to the Crazy Spirit of the Internet with Web 3steemCreated with Sketch.

Let's take a step by step look at how we got up to Web 3.

Web 1

A new generation of authors and artists emerged on the internet with the help from creators of content, marketers or firms starting from the start of the online, which later received the retroactive name as Web 1. Private websites and sparsely moderated networks like Blogger and Myspace are where all of these and more at first gained the attention of the public. These types of individuals many of whom were very weird had emerged on their own terms, as they embodied the addictive, lawless principles of Web 1.

The algorithms took in the internet when Web 2 arrived. As influencers were in a mass market event with a worldwide financial dimension, Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Netflix are now strongly fighting for, recording, and monetizing every instant of your attention online. The initial anomaly of the internet and its inherent ability to uncover the appealing and messy environment were drained away as the control of the big platforms grew. Web 3 has already regained some of the independent spirit of the earliest days of the internet by simply giving artists a method to reconnect with and interact directly with their fans again, far from the rules of corporate behemoth platforms.

Once British indie rock band Kings of Leon made their latest album named When You See Yourself, available as an NFT production through a new business. It was heard as Yellow Heart in March. The sale included digital tokens for actual vinyl records, music downloads, and experiences. A very small number of Golden Tickets were also available those were good for four rows of seats at every Kings of Leon headline event, one per tour. As long as the band was on the road this auction linked digital tokens to digital artwork that was ordered by the band's longtime associates. A private vehicle and driver for eight hours, personal assistance, gift bags, and a chance to interact with the band backstage are all included.

The transaction not only raised a gazillion eyes but also over $2 million, of which the band contributed $500,000 to Live Nation's Crew Nation foundation to aid live music personnel during the pandemicsource.
