Now I will write about phishing according to you. I will make a serial maintenance as follows in few parts. So today I am writing about phishing and sharing important information with you. This tutorial of mine is going to be important in keeping steemit plagiarism and copyright free.
PHISHING
What is phishing?
Phishing is a type of social engineering where an attacker or hacker creates a fraudulent web. And if a user steps into that net, he can get trapped and his account can be hacked. The attacker creates a design on social media and sends that design multiply to different people through messages via Gmail or comments. If one makes a mistake and steps into the trap, he can face dangers online.
The term [phishing] was first coined by Koceilah Rekouche in 1995. This term is a form of fishing also affected by fracking. Legal measures are taken to eliminate the effects of phishing incidents. Being aware of phishing has become important in the present era at home, office and also on various online websites.
I present some types of phishing
Generally there are many types of phishing. Here are a few common examples. I just want to present the summary. I will discuss in detail later.
- Gmail phishing
- Whaling and CEO fraud
- Clone phishing
- Voice phishing
- Spear phishing
- SMS phishing
- Comment phishing
- Page hijacking
- Calendar phishing
How do phishing work on steemit?
There are many ways of phishing on different social media. Currently what I have realized here is that after posting on steemit your post will provide phishing links from different accounts and ask you to click there. If you accidentally click there, your account may get hacked. You will be told in the comment that you will get 100 steem or 500 steem reward if you click on that link but this is wrong. Be sure to avoid clicking on phishing links.
What to do after your Steemit account is hacked?
If you think a spammer has commented on your post and provided a link to a phishing website. You entered your account master key by clicking on that link. In that case you will not be able to recover your account or login later. Then you restore your account by owner key. Because the hacker can change your master password not the owner key.
