Legal Exchange in Indonesia That Supports STEEM Trading

In this post I want to write about a legal exchange in Indonesia that can trade STEEM. Melansi from https://bappebti.go.id/, BAPPEBTI has released around 30 lists of trading exchanges that have entered as Prospective Crypto Asset Physical Traders in Indonesia.

Recently as of February - April 2023, BAPPEBTI has also included 5 newest exchanges for Prospective Crypto Asset Physical Traders in Indonesia. Thus, we can conclude that the crypto industry is constantly evolving.

This is evident from their initiative and interest in developing crypto trading exchanges as a service that can facilitate crypto investors and traders in Indonesia to trade on legitimate crypto trading platforms in Indonesia. In general, these 30 exchanges have entered into an official exchange in conducting crypto trading in Indonesia.

Seeing the enthusiasm of investors and developers in building platforms for crypto investment, this has increasingly had an impact on the popularity of crypto in Indonesia. On the one hand, I think that crypto will be a promising business in the future as a supporter of the digital industry.

Technological finance will be the main attraction and development for adopting Blockchain technology. Indonesia has quite good potential in supporting the crypto industry, because in terms of regulations, the government has established the legality of investing in crypto in Indonesia.

Looking at it from a different perspective, we will review which trading exchanges in Indonesia support STEEM trading? In my search, I found 2 exchange platforms that support STEEM trading.

The platforms are Tokocrypto and Upbit, these two platforms support STEEM trading. In the following, I will briefly review the two exchanges.

Tokocrypto

Tokocrypto (https://www.tokocrypto.com/) was introduced to the public in 2018, which is an exchange from PT Crypto Indonesia Blessing which is already operating legally in Indonesia. Tokocrypto has a friendly interface that makes this platform easy, simple, instant, and also safe to use.

In Indonesia, with all the available features and support, Tokocrypto has become one of the most popular exchanges among crypto investors and traders. Searched on Google Play, this platform has been used by more than 1,000,000 users.

This platform is also supported by the Binance Cloud system, even registration account owners make it possible through a Binance account. This support has increased the transaction speed and security system of the platform and has been acquired by Binance.

On this trading exchange, the pairs that can be traded with STEEM are BTC and ETH. Steemit users in Indonesia can transfer steem from Steemit to Tokocrypto or vice versa.

Traders can deposit IDR via a bank account or e-wallet, which will then be converted to BIDR on the tokocrypto platform. To buy STEEM, User can buy IDR and convert to BTC or ETH.

Upbit Indonesia

Upbit (https://id.upbit.com/) has been included in the list of one of the legal and regulated exchanges by BAPPEBTI since December 2019 and is supervised by the OJK. Upbit is registered as PT. UPBIT EXCHANGE INDONESIA is legally operating in Indonesia to support trading of crypto assets.

Writing me, Upbit can be said as a strong competitor to Tokocrypto, with the support, features and services provided. Upbit Indonesia is a well-reputed global crypto exchange in the crypto industry.

At Upbit Indonesia, we can only trade using the spot trading method. For trading markets with IDR pairs, fees are only 0.2% and are able to support withdrawals of up to 500,000,000 IDR per day (24 hours).

On Upbit there are more than 174 digital assets that can be traded and support transfers between 206 markets. The Rupiah withdrawal fee includes a low fee of around IDR 20K.

On Upbit, we can only trade STEEM on the spot with BTC pairs and they are preparing trading pairs with IDR. However, unfortunately the deposit and withdrawal methods on Upbit are very limited.

Security of Tokocrypto and Upbit

• Legal in Indonesia and supervised by BAPPEBTI and OJK.
• Know Your Customer (KYC) process.
• Has a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) feature using Google Authenticator.
• Fund password feature.
• Confirm the code via email or mobile number
