How To Delegate Steem Power In Steemit by @peerfaizan

in Steem Alliance2 years ago

Greetings to the Steemit family!

I hope you are all well and safe. Today my topic is about how to delegate our Steemit power to another Steemit account. I am happy to share my experience about Steemit with you so that a new user cannot face that problem.

When I was a new user on Steemit, I also faced that problem about how to delegate, but when we search, are active, and read posts of other users from different topics, it makes more improvement in the platform. So, I decided to share this topic with you. Today we can learn about decentralised steem power.

How to delegate steem power

The first question is where we generate STEEM power. It is generated through your posts. When you write quality posts on Steemit, people vote on them, and after seven days, you receive STEEM and STEEM power. Let's now discuss how to delineate:
  • First, you can click on the link below, which I have pasted.

  • When you go to this page, you see a sign in the top right corner; click on this.

  • When you click OK on the sign-in page, you have to fill in your username and private posting key and click on "sign in."

  • Now you are signed in.Now you tap on dashboard.

  • When we click on the dashboard, you go to a new page, and this page contains all your account details, like voting power, steem power, your posts, and many more. You can't go into detail about these; you focus only on delegation.

  • You see below the delegation option; just click on it.

  • When you click on it, you see four options: incoming, outgoing, expiring, and delegating.

**First, we know about Delegation, then we discuss the other three options.

  • Just click on "delegate."

  • Now, you see five options: first, your account; second, your steem power; third, which you want to delegate; fourth, the amount of vested shares; and fifth, how much you want to delegate.

It is important to write the correct name of the account to which you delegate. It is great to copy his username and paste it there.

  • You have to fill out only 2 boxes: one for the account name and another for how much you want to delegate.

  • When you fill in all the details, click "OK." A new page now generates that contains your account name, the name of the account to which you delegate, the amount of steem power you delegate, and the percentage of steem power you delegate to him. You click yes, and you see another page.

  • Now you have to paste the private active key and tap OK. Now your steem power is delegated to him.

If you want to see your delegation, just tap delegation, then tap outgoing, and you see your delegation.

Now, we focus on incoming delegation and expiring delegation.

Incoming delegation is the type of delegation that occurs when someone delegated his or her steem power to you.

Expiring delegation
For example, if you delegated someone and now you want to remove that delegation, just follow these steps.

  • Went outgoing delegation.
  • If you see a cross sign, just tap on it.

  • Then, open a new page and tell, if you want to remove delegation. Just tap OK.

  • Now you fill in the private active key and click OK, and your delegation is cancelled.

You can see your expiring delegation on the expiring option; it takes time to receive back your delegation amount; you also see the date and time when you receive back your delegation amount.

This is all about delegation. I hope this topic is informative for you.

Thanks.

The weight is reduced because of the lack of Voting Power. If you vote for me as a witness, you can get my little vote.
