Fork resistance in cryptocurrency

When I simply talk about a fork then it occurs as a result of any change in the rules and regulations in any blockchain or network and when I talk about reasons for different changes occurring in blockchain then reasons could be the implementation of some of the features which are new in blockchain and for the fixing of any problem or bugs or if there is any thing related to security so when I talk about fork then we can categorized both of them into soft fork and hard fork.

First if I talk about hard fork then it is defined as permanent kind of divergence in a particular network or blockchain and as a result of hard fork it results in two separate change which have different rules in both and it occurs when any kind of proper change occurs in the rules and regulations of a blockchain that is not backward compatible. As a result of that the nodes that works or operates on old software are not able to recognize the new blocks which as a result split the old network into others.

When I talk about soft fork then it is backward compatible upgrade to the protocol of the blockchain so in this type of fork new rules are recognised by the old nodes so for that reason it keeps the network intact and these type of forks usually implemented for introducing new rules and features for the improvement in the efficiency and security in the network or blockchain over all.

If I talk about one of the most famous example of soft fork then we can say that it is segregated witness upgrade in Bitcoin.

Now moving towards my topic which is fork resistance so I have already told about its definition and now moving forward when I talk about the cryptocurrency which have high forth resistance then it also has strong consensus mechanism and governance process which is more innovative developed and well defined so it helps in the reduction of disagreements that are present in the participants of the blockchain aur Network and it gives surety that if there are any changes going to made in the protocol then they would be discussed among all the participants and they would be implemented when all the participants would show their agreement upon them.

When I talk about different ways to achieve fork resistance then there is one way which is robust consensus algorithm that is used for the implementation and achieving of fork resistance and when I give an example of proof of work consensus algorithm by Bitcoin then it requires miners to solve mathematical problems for the validation of transactions and for making the network and blockchain more secure so there is a lot of computational power which is required to platform so it becomes very difficult for a single person to take over the control of whole blockchain and to force hard fork.
