New judge could prevent Changpeng Zhao from leaving the United States
Hello friends, this weekend has not been good at all for Changpeng Zhao, he had surely been celebrating in anticipation after the judge gave him the opportunity to return to the United Arab Emirates and there await his sentence, which would be in the month of February. 2024 and when this happens he will travel back to the United States and listen there to what the court had to say.
But what has happened? Unfortunately, CZ seems to have started tweeting too much after his appearance in court and some of these words or phrases on Twitter have not been liked, at least that is what I have been able to gather from the information on Twitter from some insiders out there within the department. of Justice did not like some of these tweets he gave over the weekend.
This caused the Department of Justice to make a special request to the court to tell him "Hey, how come you're going to let him out, don't let him out because he's in danger of never coming back, so please enter our request here." That is in the hands of the judge, now that decision is not going to be made, another judge is going to make it. So for now Changpeng Zhao is prohibited from leaving the United States.
It is true that he has a family, wife, children in the Arab Emirates and I don't know why when the judge gave him the opportunity to run and he had the green light to leave the United States, he stayed a few days and this has motivated the Department of Justice to put this motion and now we will have to wait to see what the other judge says. Meanwhile, the new CEO of Binance, Mr. Richard Teng, has mentioned that he is committed to following the vision of the exchange.
Richard Teng also wants to turn the page. In fact, he says, they have already turned the page and in fact we are stronger than ever. These are the initial words he gave. Obviously, it is his task to give a positive message of optimism for the company because the employees are also Seeing and Binance is still the largest platform in the world in cryptocurrencies, perhaps it will lose some market share, it will surely lose it because this entire campaign has been totally negative and it is valid that whoever wants to leave can leave.
I don't know if this whole attack by the SEC against foreign exchanges that operate on US soil is something already planned so that BlackRock and other companies can take a big advantage by getting their rivals out of the way. Because if we go to the case of approving bitcoin ETFs, the most affected would be the exchanges since they would not be receiving constant liquidity since the acquisition of bitcoin would be easier to obtain. Now what I am sure of is that Changpeng Zhao will not be able to leave the United States until a new judge authorizes him to leave.
