Today I'm here to share my knowledge with you about the topic "Decentralized domain name system on Blockchain" in this Steem Alliance community. So let's start without any more delay of time.
Dear friends, in the world of internet and digital technology, the domain has a great role as it is used to provide identification as through it, the computers recognize different websites. The domain name system is also called the phone book of internet as it translates the domains into IP addresses so that the computers can identify the different type of websites.
In most of the cases, the domain name systems are centralized which are controlled by different organizations and their activities are controlled by these entities. But since the development of blockchain and decentralized technology, the decentralized domain name systems are replacing the traditional domain name systems.
This is because the these decentralized domain name systems totally works on the principles of blockchain technology and distribute their working along different entities, smart contracts and other special protocols. Also they provide the peer to peer network activities, enhance security and transparency of the network.

Furthermore, the decentralized domain name systems provides full control over the platform and keeps the records of each and every domain through the smart, cryptographic techniques and through the consensus mechanisms as well. In this way, they keep the platform secure, save and transparent.
If we talk about the working of decentralized domain name systems, then we can say that they are quite similar to traditional DNS. But one the key difference between their working is the presence of blockchain technology as it resolves the updates of domain name systems and make them more secure and reliable for the users.
In the first step of its working, the user validate a transaction through which he register his domain on the network and then provide he provides the metadata of his domain which are a part of domain. Also many other things which are present in domain such as private keys, public keys and the domain name.
After that, the nodes of the blockchain network respond against that latest transaction which is recorded on the network and then provide the IP address to the domain and all other useful things which are associated with it. So in results after creating the domain its owner has to control its working.
In this way, he can update the domain of his website by validating new transactions on the network which are validated through the smart contracts. Also when he records a new transactions, a new block is added to the network and then that process is keep working on that principles.

Indeed the decentralized domain name systems offers a numerous benefits due to the presence of blockchain technology and decentralization. The traditional domain name systems can easily get prone to spoofing attacks in which the hackers attacks and disturb the cache and working of website which results in disrupt in the traffic on website.
That thing cause many problems for the developers and the users of websites. But in decentralized domain name systems the things are different as in them, each transactions is recorded through the smart contracts which prevents the website from spoofing and other malicious activities.

In conclusion we can say that the decentralized domain name systems provides us a better way of managing the domain names of websites and other activities within them. Also the Blockchain technology enhance the security, reliability censorship resistance and privacy of domains. Furthermore, it helps to deal with numerous regulatory challenge, adoption challenges and other governance challenges associated with the website.
